  1. Well I took it to Skoda dealer who couldn't care less and told me: 1. Can't find an issue 2. If the issue exists it needs a gearbox teardown Took it to a good local garage who diagnosed it as a bent selector arm, all fixed and back to normal now. Happy days.
  2. Hi all, Skoda Fabia SE-L 2016. 6 speed 1.2 TSI manual gearbox. I noticed that shifting into sixth gear wasn't feeling as sharp and well defined as all the other gears some time back but apart from that I can still shift gears when going at a leisurely speed/low revs. Took it to my local garage who were not able to diagnose a problem. I've now noticed that if I'm at high revs (5k+) and trying to shift up into a higher gear then the shift fails, even if I fully push down on the clutch and try to shift again, until the revs drop back down to like 3k or so. This is quite pronounced when I'm at high revs in 3rd gear (i.e. overtaking a slow moving vehicle) and try to shift directly into 5th or 6th gear from there, the shift fails and I have to wait till the revs drop to get it into gear. I'm taking it back to a skoda dealer this Friday, anything you recommend I ask them to check specifically/any ideas what the issue could be?
  3. Thanks, that is useful. We live on a farm so there are fields aplenty around our drive, your hypothesis about field mice seems on the money.
  4. Did a visual check of the engine bay and found what looks like gnaw marks that were not there last time I checked. Can anyone tell me what this tubing is responsible for?
