  1. Well I took it to Skoda dealer who couldn't care less and told me: 1. Can't find an issue 2. If the issue exists it needs a gearbox teardown Took it to a good local garage who diagnosed it as a bent selector arm, all fixed and back to normal now. Happy days.
  2. Hi all, Skoda Fabia SE-L 2016. 6 speed 1.2 TSI manual gearbox. I noticed that shifting into sixth gear wasn't feeling as sharp and well defined as all the other gears some time back but apart from that I can still shift gears when going at a leisurely speed/low revs. Took it to my local garage who were not able to diagnose a problem. I've now noticed that if I'm at high revs (5k+) and trying to shift up into a higher gear then the shift fails, even if I fully push down on the clutch and try to shift again, until the revs drop back down to like 3k or so. This is quite pronounced when I'm at high revs in 3rd gear (i.e. overtaking a slow moving vehicle) and try to shift directly into 5th or 6th gear from there, the shift fails and I have to wait till the revs drop to get it into gear. I'm taking it back to a skoda dealer this Friday, anything you recommend I ask them to check specifically/any ideas what the issue could be?
  3. Thanks, that is useful. We live on a farm so there are fields aplenty around our drive, your hypothesis about field mice seems on the money.
  4. Did a visual check of the engine bay and found what looks like gnaw marks that were not there last time I checked. Can anyone tell me what this tubing is responsible for?
  5. Hi, is there any update that can be shared with me privately please? Device part number 5Q0035842A Hardware: H24 Software: 0245 Media Codec: 2101.0.0.10
  6. Hi Peter, I had this with my citigo after the starter motor was replaced. You get the 'ding' when you switch the car on and the start/stop symbol flashes. Took it to the garage, they read the fault codes and there was a fault code logged in relation to the starter motor jamming. Once they cleared the code the ding went away and start/stop works again. I imagine its a failsafe built in to disable the system if there is a fault logged in relation to the starter motor.
  7. Mine does this a bit. Does it have the 'clutch click' also?
  8. My citigo had a starter motor failure and a few months after replacement we had the same issue with the buzzer and flashing start stop icon. I took it back to the garage to read the fault codes and the car had logged a fault stating the starter motor had jammed at some point. They cleared the fault code (which allowed the start stop system to kick in again) but were unable to reproduce the issue. Going to keep an eye on it.
  9. Unfortunately the car is second hand and well out of warranty now (5+ years old)
  10. Hi everyone, The skoda logos have started to blister and peel on my alloys. Does anyone know the size of the replacements I should be looking for? Can see a few sellers offering different sizes on ebay. Cheers.
  11. More than likely, the speed camera van clocked him from much further away, before he noticed it and slowed down. They can measure speed from quite a way off.
  12. National guidance is that the police do not start to enforce the speed limit until 10%+2MPH ...i.e. 30MPH zone wouldn't usually see enforcement unless you were clocked doing 35MPH which would be higher than that on your speedo.
  13. Took the car back to the garage that did the service in the end, they re greased the ball joint etc and the squeak is gone now.
  14. Will get a photo soon. In terms of what I bought (bear in mind I have swapped the Citigo interior light for one from a Skoda Fabia Mk2) - it has the dome light and a map light either side. Bulbs purchased were as follows: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201687385419?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&var=501443001101&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (42MM) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370834202219?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (This listing was for a pair of bulbs)
