  1. Small update on brake system) Front R32 mk4 discs 334x32 + 6 pot Porsche 17z calipers Rear 256 vented from TT 225hp.
  2. For OZ it's too early to tell because I don't have final dimensions of inners. Futuras are 9 front and 9.5 rear with small offsets so I don't expect any problems with 18''. LMs have ET35 front and ET38 rear + 16mm adapters. Want to make test fit at this weekend. The biggest problem is 6pot front brakes...
  3. Long time no updates so here are some new pics. Now I start to realize that I'm really a wheels maniac... First of all my new centers for OZs arrived. Welcome OZ Opera Pegasus. So decided to take a look how it will be. 2'' lips and 2,5'' lips.. and without center caps Also new set of original OZ bolts arrived . Was preparing for doing something like this. . but suddenly these beauties appeared and ruined all my plans for this season wheel setup)) BBS LM 18*9/9.5JJ So should restore LM's asap and put them on the car and continue work with OZs. So hope soon will be another updates. Also wanted to show you my cluster. It took a lot of time to make it but it's definately worth it. Based on oem Octavia cluster + Superb dials and arrows (except fuel and temp)+ some LEDs and ColorMFA. You can search for some videos on Youtube for more info about this little thing.
  4. Sideskirts are R32 replicas slightly modified to fit Octavia body. Lost one of these in deep snow pair of weekes ago)) In spring will put it back again but modify mounting points.
  5. Definately there will be some tune to gearbox. It all depends on $$ in my pocket... If planned power (500hp+) is reached stock gearbox will die very quickly)) DQ500 swap is the best thing to do but it's not easy because it was never used with VR6 engines (3.2 or 3.6). Maybe will try to find it for reasonable price later. Also have some idea with clutch pack tune, we have some local guys who replace them. Price is rather high but acceptable (800$ for st.2) and they say it can handle more than 650+Nm of torque. Anyway should collect everything for engine rebuild at first. Internals for VR6 and R32 especially aren't cheap so it can take some time... Hopefully will have some updates on wheels very soon.
  6. Mirrors are aluminum and idea was to compose them with polished wheel lips. Here is some news. Started to build new set of wheels for this summer. Again OZ, but 18'' and not Futura. Lips 2'' and 2.5''. And one more spoiler and homework but I do not expect to collect everything till autumn and start total engine rebuild.
  7. VR6 really changes handling of car in some way and also there is no point to try it on front wheel drive. With AWD it's getting better but not the best handling however. But from my point of view 3.2 has more potential and strengh in it. I hope soon this will be converted to turbo. Expecting about 500 hp and it is more complicated to get these numbers on 1.8 or 2.0. And as far as I know there've never been a VR6 version of Octavia anywhere. Only garage made conversions such as mine)
  8. Thanks for comments. The idea was to build vRS in the way it should be. All-wheel drive, VR6 engine. Only DSG was my main concern but it works fine. Also here some autumn shots with winter setup. Will add some information concerning plans for 2017 later.
  9. Yes, have some but not good quality. Anyway here they are. https://youtu.be/rRzIGDXeTKY https://youtu.be/2WhZcSAxD_0
  10. Hi guys. Was walking around and decided to share my project with someone outside our country. Here is very short history of previous several years of build. It used to be regular 1.8t 4x4 Octavia but then something went totally wrong in my mind... Swap kit from 3.2 DSG mk1 TT was purchased and after some preparations installed into my poor combi. After full respray and some other small changes outside and inside. So here is current spec list. Body work: Used to be Rallye Rot now it is Garnet Red from Audi Exclusive list; RS look (front bumper, roof spoiler) + OEM rear parking sensors; ОЕМ xenon and washer; Side mirrors from Audi S3; Chrome painted roof rails; Front Aero wipers from mk4 Golf. Interior: OEM Recaro seats from Audi S3. Black leather, full electro + heated; OEM black interior from Combi RS, except door cards with black leather; Custom made cluster with Superb dials and Color MFA; Leon Cupra R steering wheel; Cupholders from Polo in center console)) Best mod inside, lol. Engine: Used to be remapped ARX 1.8T (about 200hp); Swapped to BHE VR6 3.2 from Audi TT mk1. Currently stock with straight exhaust (dual 55mm pipes from oem headers, Х-pipe, custom muffler, exhaust tips from ТТ 3.2). Transmission and chassis: Swap from MT to DSG DQ250; Rear camber control arms; Coilover suspension from ST Coilovers (same as Weitec TX); Front suspension from ТТ, R32. Brakes: Currently all factory stock but have something interesting waiting for install. Front 6pot Porsche Brembo 17Z, refurbished with OEM R32/TT 334mm brakediscs. Rear 256mm vented discs from ТТ, also refurbished. Wheels (my passion): Winter setup: Rays winning R17, 9J wide with 205/45/17 tyres Totally rebuild OZ Futura R17, used to be 8J ET45. Now 9J with 2" lips on front and 9.5J with 2.5" lips rear. Tyres 205/45/17. Centers powder painted in candy red chrome. Possibly forget something)) If it become interesting for somebody will provide more details and build history. But it will take some time definatly. And of course it's not finished yet.
