Hi the passenger drive shaft on my 1.9 TDi gave up the ghost last weekend & I've been having trouble finding which new one's are suitable. Can anyone tell me the dimensions or part number mine's a 3 so has the factory 16" alloys. Thanks in advance.

Hi all I'm currently doing a turbo & injector upgrade but I've run into a bit of a problem as both the standard EGR & intercooler pipes are too short. I was just wondering if any of the other VAG models had longer variants which I could use? Any help much appreciated ta.

Many thanks for that. I thought they might have had a metal ring with lots of little holes like modern bikes. Cheers for the link.

Hi I'm looking to replace my CV joints & have found some genuine meyle ones on ebay but the seller states that they don't come with the ABS rings. Are the rings re-usable or do I need a different type of CV joint? Cheers.

^This. I bought an LUK replacement for mine & got my local formula1 to fit it. I think it was under £300 for the labour plus £89 for the clutch kit.

There are a few compressors on ebay pretty cheap why not replace it?

I fixed it myself in the end. There was a broken connector at the bottom of the radiator. I stripped the old connector off & plugged the tabs back in & the fan came on straight away. I've ordered some connectors off eBay to do a more permanent repair. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the replies chaps. I'll have a search for a local air con specialist.

Hi all I have a problem with my air con at the moment. A few weeks ago I took the car into my local formula 1 to have the air con re gassed but they said it still didn't work so they took the gas out of it. I assumed it was the condenser so ordered a new one & fitted it last week. I took it back yesterday to have it re gassed which they've done but it still won't work. They did a diagnostic on it which has come back with open circuit & he said it could be a broken wire & to take it to Skid a only problem my local dealer charges £125 an hour plus VAT! Anyone got any ideas? Cheers in advance.

Air con auto enabled when ignition on?

Could be a control unit fault is the car still under warranty? -
Replacing those parts could be put down to preventative maintenance. At nearly ten years old & 100,000 miles it could be an idea to change them especially as you're taking the old ones off.

I use kataclean once a year, it's amazing the difference it makes.
