A year ago the average delivery was 6 months - that increased to 9 months for the 2.0TDI 190 BHP Engine... I suspect Covid reduced wait time initially - but could be that the supply pipe of parts is low... There is for example a shortage of Stainless Steel - used on the Cylinder Head Gaskets - as the mills shut for three months - everyone predicted the industry would be down for 3 months then low volumes the rest of the year... but the market came back stronger than expected (whether real or not?) and the supply chain is struggling to speed back up as the upturn was faster than initially predicted.
