  1. Hi all, and thanks in advance. Today I got the flashing amber oil sensor workshop fault flashing up on the display. I've had a good rummage round the forum, and I guess it's likely to either be a faulty sensor or a wiring issue. The car is due for a service, but being without it for a few days is going to be hugely inconvenient (renting a car levels of inconvenient). So the question is a simple one, although I have a feeling the answer may not be. Is the car safe to drive? The warning is amber- so a be aware/get it sorted level warning rather than a stop now red warning. However the big flashing icon and a beep (from memory) is making me thing I need to take it more seriously than a low washer fluid warning.
  2. Perfect- I saw that setting earlier. Thanks to everyone.
  3. Thanks............. how do I do that?
  4. I've had a bit of a search, and have a nasty feeling the answer might be more complicated than I want to get into.................. Phone connects to the car (64 plate black edition) via bluetooth, and I use it for phone calls and listening to podcasts/audiobooks whilst driving. All good. Until I get a text message. The text shows up on the display asking if I want to read it (obviously not if I'm driving) or have it read via the text to voice system which seems to cope pretty well. The problem is the text never actually appears on my phone, which is a bit of a pain when it's the details for my son's football match at the weekend and I need to refer back to the text. I have worked out that the car is actually storing the texts, but I have to be in the car to access them. Is there any way to stop it doing this? I couldn't see an option in the MFD option. I'm happy to simply not receive texts until I get out of the car. Thanks in advance
