  1. Hi, 64 plate 2.0tdi L&K 4x4 Estate Last week I started getting ACC/Front Assist error and the warning light on the dash. Also had a lane assist error but that was just the remains of a bug in the wrong place! When I cleaned the screen I also cleaned the radar sensor as there were a few bugs on that. It was working one day then when I next used the car 2 days later it wasn't. I'm next to a farm so mice have been an issue in the past, they like the foam under the engine covers, so have checked the wiring I can see and it all looks ok. I even unplugged it and checked the connections, but the error still persists. Is there anyone Dumfries/Dalbeattie/Castle Douglas with the obd tools that could take a look for me please? I don't think it's had an impact either. Thanks
  2. Took the car away for the weekend, did 260ish miles, mix of motorway, dual carriageway and A roads... Ran fine until we started it up to come home, revved higher on idle and the coil light started flashing. Turned it off and back on and it was as normal. Had a few seconds of shaking at 70 about the halfway point but nothing else after that. Would old glow plugs be a cause of the issues? Another idea I had was could it be the cam angle sensor?
  3. Thank You! Just tried it and it is working 😁
  4. The manual doesn't say you need to have the option for each key to be different to set the positions up Also, it won't let me turn that option on!
  5. I'll have a look when I do the school run in a bit! I do remember something about seats, thought I selected it but possibly not. I try and use both keys equally as well.
  6. I have been through the menus, will take another look later.
  7. Control unit? Not a clue. Has the 3 adjusters on the side with the memory buttons above (SET, 1, 2, 3), heated seats controlled from centre console.
  8. Our garage likes to use OEM or equivalent, the ones fitted to ours are Delphi, who made the originals as well
  9. The fix was done early 22, and has run fine since apart from going through injectors the last 2 years! I had the fix done on my previous Octavia (2011 mk2 1.6tdi) which then needed an egr and 2 injectors replaced within 5 months of it being done. Never had any more issues with it after that though.
  10. We have never miss fuelled it, got about 110k on it. Yes had the recall work done once we got the car and realised it was still outstanding. Had a new dpf/cat about 3 years ago as there was a hole in the cat One of the mechanics at the garage said he has gone through a few injectors in his car (non VAG) in the last couple of years too
  11. Hello, My wife has a 2011 Fabia which she loves, but it has been a bit of a problem child (partly due to botch repairs / cheap parts before our ownership), we have had it nearly 5 years, and in the last 2 years it has gone through 6 injectors (waiting on the 6th one being done, was only swapped 3 months ago!) We and our garage are stumped as to why, the fine filter was checked last time and found to be clear of debris, we have started using a different place to fill up as our nearest had work done on their tanks just over 2 years ago, and we think that might have something to do with it. We love the car but have thrown so much money at it!
  12. Hello, On my 3rd Octavia estate, now have a 64 plate L&K estate. I cannot get the driver's seat to keep position settings. The adjusters all work, the heater works, but it will not store them on the buttons. I have followed the instructions in the manual, but still no luck. My wife and I have very different seat positions, so it is a pain having to manually adjust each time. I have chaged the thermal fuse but no change. Is there a back up battery somewhere that I have missed? Thanks
  13. Not a problem, any more questions just ask!
  14. Prob only took me a day to do overall. The hardest part is getting to the bolts that hold the plastic bumper on! Fixings everywhere. Just work through it systematically and it'll go fine
  15. Not a problem. I used a universal wiring kit, then when I upgraded from 7pin to 13 pin I just added the additional relay to the car. Ran the positive wires through to the fuse panel next to the battery and connected in there. Used a ground beneath the tail lights. Beware, it is a mission to get the plastic bumber off! Swapping the beams over takes 2 mins, plus at least an hour to get the boot trim off, and the tail lights off, just to get the plastic bumper off! Right PITA! Needs a T45 bit to get the bumper bar off the back. Not had it remapped, though I feel it could probably benefit from another 20 or so hp and a bit more torque just for day to day driving. I got an Umbra Rimorchi removable swan necl towbar from ebay, though I left it on a couple of years ago and cannot get the damn thing off now 🙄
