  1. New complete steering column assembly fitted at Skoda and no more notchy steering issues
  2. Have taken the Monte back again to Skoda with this notchy steering problem, and after having a rather heated conversation with the service manager, a further investigation by one of there technicians discovered that there was a fault with the steering column. The technician told me it appears Skoda are aware of an electrical problem with the steering columns on some cars something to do with magnets in the mechanism. The franchise have now ordered a new steering column which will be fitted shortly.I will keep you updated on the result
  3. Same here mine does this it's only done 9k,all you get from skoda it's fine not to worry
  4. I have a 1.2dsg and get around town 39/41 mpg and upwards to 50/54 on a run, but must admit over 70mph and it will drop to about 35mpg.
  5. I will let you know if it happens
  6. Think I prefer the 48DD look than a bonnet covered in chips and dinks
  7. That's the one I bought from eBay on more than 10 minutes to fit
  8. eBay £47 just use a Allan Key to fit, have now removed the yeti white lettering.
  9. Result of a bad experience following a tractor
  10. Had a new se drive the beginning of July with no embroidered yeti logo on the mats but if you look underneath you will see the Skoda label
  11. Yes it was already in the UK,I just popped in to the local dealership to see if there was any deals on new yeti's.They made me a good offer on my Spaceback so from the time I agreed to the deal till the time it was ready for collection was three days.
  12. Well collected the new yeti and what a complete change compared to the Spaceback
  13. No but the grey seems to complement the alloys quite nicely, and dark grey being one of my favourite colours I didn't mind anyway.
  14. Just ordered and eagerly awaiting a Yeti 1.2 SE Drive,so much better to drive than the Spaceback 1.6 se sport
  15. Two months now with my Spaceback SE Sport and still over the moon with it,this time last year my Honda HRV EX had been back to the Dealership twice in one month. So pleased I decided not to pay over the top for a car badge this time,no more Audi BMW Mercedes and the like. Some say it's my age I say it's my sensible head and not my ego.
  16. I have all you are missing on my SE Sport and that's about enough. I have been there with all the toys in the past.Take it from me to much is a pain in the rear especially when it consistently goes wrong. The Ideas are great but the reliability is much to be desired
  17. A lot of people have complained about lack of hi tec gadgets on some Spaceback models. My old car was a Honda HRV detec EX with every conceivable extra on it,auto lights wipers, rear view camera, city braking, lane departure warning the list goes on.The new Spaceback SE Sport is just what the doctor ordered enough hi tec but not to much,I have taken back control of my driving. PS.the Honda had to be returned to the dealership five times in its first year, beware of to many trinkets.
  18. One month on with my Spaceback must say it drives just like my old A3 Sport but probably smoother,so pleased I decided to go with Skoda this time and save some money.Sorry Audi but things move on and Skoda have certainly moved on,VW engineering and the new Skoda looks it's a big Win Win for me
  19. It does by about five min from cold
  20. I think you will find a bonnet is an engine compartment cover, sorry for being picky
  21. Just fitted a new engine cover, looks so much better was quite surprised to find the new cars do not come with them anymore.
  22. Used to have an A3 so pleased I decided to go Skoda instead
