  1. After owning a Skoda City Go, 2 Fabias, 1 Yeti, 1 Octavia and 1 Kamiq, I moved over to Toyota and bought a Yaris Cross Hybrid 2 years ago. All my Skodas were excellent cars but I just felt like a change and the Yaris Cross has also proved to be a very reliable model and pleasant car to drive. The hybrid system is very clever but I feel that I’m now ready to move onto a fully electric car but the Toyota models are far too big for my needs. The Epiq concept photos look very encouraging and it’s relatively small size and proposed low price has definitely wetted my appetite to look at Skoda again. If Skoda don’t move too much from their concept photos and keep to their promises, I’ll be one of the first at the head of the queue when it’s released.
  2. Thanks Toot. As suggested, I checked previous threads through your link and now understand the system a little more. Thanks again.
  3. Sorry, I don’t think I’ve explained the query very well. I’m not referring to the hill hold assist function but the ‘Autohold’ or brake hold for DSG models which Toot has referred to in his reply. I was trying to establish if the brake light remains illuminated when autohold is engaged but Toot has also explained that it depends on what type of car you are driving. I used to own an Audi Q2 STRONIC/DSG which had this feature and I’m pretty sure that when taking you foot off the brake pedal, being stationary at traffic lights for example, the brake lights did not illuminate. A good feature as you don’t dazzle the driver sitting behind you. However, my son has taken delivery of Toyota Yaris which also has an autohold system but the brake lights stay on even after taking your foot off the brake. My Kamiq is a DSG model with the traditional handbrake but I was unsure if higher spec models had an autohold option. Cheers
  4. Does the Kamiq or indeed any Skoda have the brake hold function with DFG models. If so, can you confirm if the brake lights come on when this function is applied.
  5. You were right. I didn’t realise that the Lane assist only kicked in at that speed. Thanks for the advice.

Just noticed the the Lane Assist icon now only works intermittently. Not that I’m complaining, as I’m not really a great fan of it. I’ve checked that nothing is obscuring the camera so maybe it’s a change in the weather that’s confusing it. As I said, it doesn’t really bother me but I have a slight concern that other gremlins are working away elsewhere. The car is just over years old and I’m very pleased with it’s reliability.
