  1. Definitely doing this... it's incredibly annoying. Glad I visited Briskoda today
  2. My last Superb (190 L&K) was a diesel. Before covid it was fine, and I was doing a lot of miles. During and post-covid, probably no more than 15 miles a day, and I was having to take it for motorway spins to clear the DPF. You could tell when it was due - it smelt like it was burning when the car tried to do "active regeneration" (usually not enough). Changed to a petrol L&K last year.
  3. I was just coming here to tell other owners about this problem! Mine was in with Skoda today for this issue. It started a few weeks ago, and manifested as "travel assist currently unavailable", sometimes with error about road signs not being readable. Very intermittent, and no apparent cause. Skoda (Startin Group) tell me it's a known issue with the software, and Skoda are working on a fix. It's logged under TPI 2062172/15, and when a fix is available, they will call the car in for it to be applied. I saw a similar issue on a DE forum as well, under the same reference but /5 instead of /15. Might be worth you (and anyone else) with the issue getting your car on Skoda's radar now, so you can get the fix asap.
  4. Perhaps not as recently as you might hope, but I had one in March this year, after a 9 month wait. Superb L&K 190 hatch. Wasn't my preferred choice, as I actually wanted the 280 L&K estate, same as you, but they weren't accepting orders on it at the time (mid-2021). Having already had 2 Superb estates, I was gutted I couldn't get another.
  5. I hope you're right The sales guy did say that Skoda were pushing dealerships quite hard to sell the Kamiq, so perhaps they're not as badly affected with component shortages as other models.
  6. We've just (last week) ordered a 1.5l Kamiq SEL through a main dealer, for their lease program. The sales guy is telling us November. I waited 9 months for my Superb L&K; I'd be impressed if the wife got her Kamiq in 4 months.
  7. Likewise re the pain.... glad you got it in the end. Had mine for about 3 weeks now, and after 9 months wait, feels good.
  8. ooof that's pretty bad. This might be saying the obvious, but if you're going to order something else, even from another manufacturer, might check around and see what their delivery schedules are like before you cancel. Bet Skoda aren't the only one having yet more trouble.
  9. Supply chain issues with wiring looms from Ukraine-based supplier, apparently. Articles mention VW group, and vehicles using the VW MEB modular EV platform https://europe.autonews.com/automakers/vw-halts-ev-production-germany-ukraine-crisis-hits-supplies https://insideevs.com/news/575858/vw-id5-delayed-ukraine-wiring-harness-shortage/
  10. Finally, after placing the order mid-July, it's being delivered to me next Wednesday. 8 months from order to delivery. 9, if I count the 4 week delay in actually in getting the order processed.
  11. Tell them you're going to cancel the order because you can't wait any longer, and not having a firm date is going to cause you problems and you need certainty. With the potential to lose a sale, they may stop spinning you a yarn and start doing something to get you a concrete date. I ordered mine (L&K hatch with options) last July, and it's in transit to the dealer with reg number already known. I did imply once or twice that I was impatient and "looking at my options", but mine is a lease, not a personal purchase.
  12. What did you both order? Asking only because I wanted another estate again, but the order was declined, and I had to have hatchback instead. My lease broker said they were rejecting estate orders for "unknown reasons". I assumed it was because of (even more) abnormal delivery times.
  13. Hopefully you won't. I think 6-9 months seems typical - mine is 9 months (ordered July, eta next week), and that was an L&K with a couple of options.
  14. I mean it has been given a 22 plate by the dealer/registered owner. It's a lease car - I'm the registered keeper, so I have little choice over registration details and timing.
  15. Mine is also complete, and has been given a 22 plate. Delivery mid-March. Finally.
  16. I haven't had a confirmation yet, but I'm hopeful. I'll follow up after the weekend 😃
  17. The article only says it will affect Octavia production, so hopefully no impact to Superb.
  18. My build week is confirmed as w/c 7th - next week. Checked today with lease broker and dealer
  19. I'll keep you posted... 👍
  20. So, an update today, from the dealer, gives an "unconfirmed build week 6", so w/c 7th February, with potential delivery to dealer of mid-March. Subject to further delays, so that may align with your theory, 310golfr 😉
  21. Unfortunately, that seems to be where I am. I chased it up with the lease broker last week, had a reply this evening to say that giving me a date in the first place and then deleting it (without giving a new date), may or may not have been an error by manufacturer or dealer. Broker's are chasing for information, but unable to get any update. Thing is, I could cancel it, and change to a different brand car from their in-stock list, and get it within a week or two, but I don't want to do that.
  22. I've asked, and even suggested it might be part-built somewhere, but yes, all I'm getting is the "don't know" response.
  23. At the end of October (ordered mid-July), I was told mine (Superb 2.0 L&K Hatch) would be with the dealer 18th February. However... 2nd week December, that date was scrubbed by the dealer and no alternative date was given. I've chased the broker (it's a lease car) this week and asked them to find out what's happening, but no answer as yet. So I've gone from approx. 7 months, to no idea.
  24. Absolutely this. My L&K Estate was corrida red - my new one (L&K hatch I'm still waiting for!) is velvet red. Chose it because at the time, I hadn't seen any in that colour in my area.
  25. Had a bit of an update today, with build date as 10th Jan and delivery to dealership on 18th February... obviously subject to slippage. That would be pretty much 7 months from order to delivery.
