  1. If your car is less than three years old you may be able to persuade them to replace the battery under warranty. My local dealer did this for me just before my warranty expired on my last Superb.
  2. I assume you have tried different cables. CarPlay tends to be rather fussy about the quality of the cable.
  3. I have the factory fitted towbar and yes it does disable the boot opening when the socket is connected. It clicks the tailgate ajar but it does not open.
  4. My experience with the same engine is very similar. Really good engine in my view.
  5. I have found using Carwow is a good way of finding a reasonable deal. It is amazing how different the quotes are from each retailer in my experience. Go for the cheapest and haggle a bit. I managed a discount of 18% last time.
  6. I used to have a diesel150PS Tdi and now have a petrol 190PS Tsi. In my view the 190 makes all the difference to the performance and is so much better than the 150.
  7. Not sure, probably best to ask your dealer.
  8. Took my 2021 Superb Estate in for a service yesterday and was told there was Skoda requirement for the ball studs on the boot lid to be replaced under warranty. Anyone else come across this?
  9. If you lock the car with the keyfob and touch the outside of the handle within a couple of seconds the KESSY is disabled. This is not deactivated until you unlock the car with the keyfob
  10. If you go to a Skoda approved repairer they have the recalibration equipment but I'm not sure others will have it. There are a number of repairers on the list and some may be cheaper than others. https://skodaapprovedrepair.co.uk/approved-crash-repair-centre-locator-map
  11. I have seen 120C oil temp on my last Superb which was a 150bhp diesel. It was actually when I was running for a long time in hot weather at high speed on a French autoroute. I suspect most of time people don't look at the oil temperature so are probably not aware of high temperatures. I now have a 190bhp petrol which runs significantly cooler though it does have a factory fitted towbar and I think that means it has an oil cooler fitted too.
  12. I had this problem and I noticed that the plastic cover on the front sensor, whilst not damaged, the silver stripes on it looked a bit odd, especially after rain. What was happening was that water was somehow getting into the plastic cover (though there was no apparent damage) and I suspected this was interfering with the sensor. The garage agreed it looked unusual, replaced the plastic cover and all has been well since.
  13. My daughter's 150 TDi had two glowplugs fail and I was concerned about regeneration even though a VAG dealer said it would be ok. In fact she drove around for 3 months before getting them replaced, the regeneration worked fine and there were no ill effects.
  14. I don't think a larger fuel tank is an option in the UK. Not sure whether to risk running mine down to zero on the basis that I put in 64 litres when it showed a fraction under a quarter full and the tank is supposed to be 66 litres.
  15. It is not so much a question of distance travelled, more a case of how often the gearstick is moved, the more often the less likely the warning appears.
