Comparing photos online, the old buttons look like they have the same profile? Also got quoted approx 1000 pound sterling for a new steering wheel from my local dealer.

Hey dude welcome to the forum!
Literally, I have only just fitted the wheel and the airbag and that's it. I was lucky enough to get the correct items from a friend before he sold his Mk3 on.
Buttons are not working as yet as my Steering module needs to be changed and probably my speedo clocks too to allow Maxidot, something I'm having issues finding.
But any of the new wheels and bags will just slot straight on and no airbag warnings. I was able to order the Airbag from Poland on eBay for £120 posted, The seller agreed to post outside of eBay, not adviced but provided me with a good saving so I risked it. Would certainly deal with that chap again.
I read somewhere on here a chap had fitted fabia buttons to another wheel onto his Octavia and it worked, but I can't find the post now. I already have maxidot so it might not have any problems. I'll let you know how I go.... Just need to find a wheel with a cover now.

Todays update:
Buttons not working yet but that'll be in the pipeline!
I'm thinking of doing the same as I have the 4 spoke wheel with the Pre FL badge and I hate it! Are you able to share the parts required?

Think I'd have put the money towards a rear bumper respray and replacement reflector
Yeah, I bought the car then found out the previous owner had resprayed it without primer. Reflector is already on the way.

Interested in the same mods as you are, let me know how you go

Well it does look a lot better as is and Australia is known for it's stupid laws (for example my supposedly 118kw MkII FL is considered a "high powered vehicle", just because it was made in 2009, as opposed to one made in 2010 although it's the same model year!) so I think I'm just going to leave it that way. Thanks fellas

I expect so.
Try fitting them without cutting and if they stick out too far, chop the exhaust down as instructed
So they look like this, you won't be able to see the exhaust unless you're looking up into it. Just worried I might have difficulty getting a roadworthy certificate/ safety inspection pass if I cut it.

Sorry for bumping an old thread. My tips just arrived today. Instructions say I may need to cut the exhaust. Is it absolutely necessary?

I have been seeing more and more skodas. Don't know if it's always been this way and I've just never noticed?

Hi all, just bought my very first Skoda not long ago, an Octavia mkII FL. I had only heard of the brand name from Top Gear when Clarkson reviewed the then new yeti, but never driven or seen one before. When I went to a test drive for the first time, I couldn't believe how nice this car was. Since then, I've fallen in love with how nice the car drives and how clever the features and the design is. I've already ordered a bunch of goodies from Super Skoda and am planning on installing other mods, so watch this space! Here's a shot of my Octavia with the Gold Coast sunset.
