So drove the VR down to Newcastle on Friday and back on the Sunday. Had the wife and soon in the car so was nice chilled drive but the ride was great.
3 hour drive with the car being lowered on the ST coilovers was great.
Update with wheels. Should have some new wheels Wednesday if everything goes to plan.
Also hoping to lower the rear more (might have to take out the rear adjusters) and also the front to get the stance sorted.
Next on the list I think will be a new rear diffuser in gloss black then a front splitter.

Front. 18" x 8.5 et42 (Will work)
Rear. 18" x 9.5 et40 (will not work)
I run 19x9 et41 225/35 19 in the rear on mine and it's a close fit. I had to add -2 deg of camber in order to avoid rubbing with full booth and people in the back.
Thanks very much for this guys.
Not it going to be getting the wheels now.
Seen some other wheels mind you.

Standard wheels are 7.5 I think. Lot of guys run spacers. I have 12mm spacers all round so effectively the wheels are a 39 offset and they are spot on. You can run a 20mm spacer and still no rubbing. But that's on a 7.5 wide rim. Those certainly wouldn't rub on the suspension but might on the arches if it's lowered.
So would a 7.5 wide rim with a offset of 40 work in a VRS?

So 70mph VRS and a pidgin going in opposite direction don't end well.
Wing mirror cover still in one bit but the glass popped out and cracked.
I had had to pop it back in to place to keep driving.
Qestion is, where can I get a replacement bit of glass and how to get the old one out.
2013 VRS estate is what I have. Any help would be awesome.

Hi guys. I have found some wheels that I like the look of. Not to sure if the width and offset would work.
Ive got a VRS estate with 18s as standard.
Wheels that I am looking at
Front. 18" x 8.5 et42
Rear. 18" x 9.5 et40
Tried having a look online but still not sure with it all.
Any help would be awesome.

Ok am looking in to what coilovers to get.
For me it's more for the look of the car and not being able to go around a corner faster.
Ive had AP coilovers on 2 cars in the past and couldn't fault them.
Some places look to sell them for my car and others do not. Even the AP website doesn't have a listing for the model but other websites show them.
Was also looking at ST coilovers (made by KW), has anyone used these at all?
My car spec
63 plate Octavia VRS estate
manual
deisel
a think this would would make them the 55mm strut size but not sure on load weight to the front and rear.

The grille is plastic welded to the bumper, so not easily removed - crazy design.
The surround can be removed by breaking the clips, then the new one clips back in, if you were thinking of painting or changing it.
Yea a read this after posting about it. Sucks!
Going to try my best at plasti dipping it this weekend.
Lots of masking and take my time.
If it doesn't work out a will buy the black surround.

So today I had some free time.
Removed the Skoda and Octavia badges.
Also found some old plasti dip and done the rear badge Matt black. Will most likely need to do again as the weather went ****.
Still not not sure if a will keep the VRS badge on or if a will do the Matt black also.
ohhh does anyone have a guide to remove the front grill???
