  1. If you're looking to upgrade to satnav and bluetooth then a Amundsen+ (RNS315) with bluetooth built in (check mac address as above) is a great option. Just bare in mind it costs about £150-£200 a year to upgrade the maps.

However, if as the OP appears to be you're happy with a non satnav unit then adding a BT module is much cheaper than swapping the bolero for a Amundsen+.

Just for clarity, the Amundsen (RNS310) never has BT fitted.

    Exactly what this man said!

  2. The Skoda dealer I bought my Octavia VRS from put these on to shift the car. I wouldn't buy them again, but they weren't bad enough to take off and replace immediately.

My wife's fabia also came with them on the front and I did change them straight away. The imbalance was horrific!

  3. Hi,

Not sure if you got this sorted, btu here's my 2p...

My 61 playe Octavia came with Amundsen, and I have seen 12 plates with Amundsen+ units, so I think the changeover was there...

The Amundsen units require a separate bluetooth module to be installed under the passenger seat and a wiring loom adding. The parts for this alone put me off doing this. £250+

I sold my Amundsen unit on ebay and bought an Amundsen+. Sold for £200, bought for £350. Then get a mic (again, ebay, about £30 i think). There was a useful thread on here for installing the mic. Was pretty much spot on. The Amundsen+ also has maps on the built in hard drive, as opposed to CD or SD card on the standard Amundsen. Well worth upgrading.
