  1. Our 2018 1.5 TSI Edition suffered with the kangarooing problem and I put up with it until the first service. The local dealership carried out the engine mapping modification. The technician told me at the time our car was a guinea pig for them as it was the first time they had done so. It totally cured the problem. The very small (27 square mile) rock on which we live ensures that it is 95% urban driving and is probably as good a test as the car could get. It's a great car and a few people, badge snobs included, have told me how refined it is and how surprised they were that it was a Skoda. One particular Lexus owner was bragging of all the gizmos that were included on his vehicle. The Karoq Edition matched everything his car had, except for adaptive cruise control. His car lacked the bottom of door courtesy lights. I know which of those two I find more useful at night, when it is very wet.
  2. 60 and decided that I no longer needed a van for work, so I took a good look around for a midsize SUV. Wife already drives a Fabia that we both love. Previously her car was a BMW 'Mini' Cooper S, fun, but uncomfortable and engineering-wise a disaster. The local Skoda garage are brilliant and had a silver1.5TSi Edition in stock. Didn't bother test driving it, did the deal and I love it, comfortable, plenty of torque low down and nippy enough for an old codger like me.
  3. Hello all. Took the plunge as we have just purchased our first Skoda. It wasn't our first choice. After trying to do a deal for a Toyota Yaris and being very disappointed at the finance package offered, I called SWMBO and asked what car she liked. I like the Fabia she said, "Elaine has one, Peter has one". So off I trotted to the local Skoda dealer and 20 minutes later I had done a deal for a new Fabia Colour Edition in race blue with black roof. I couldn't be happier with it so far and this is after driving a Mini Cooper S for 9 years where I was getting 1litre/1000 miles economy ...... in oil that is
