  1. Our 2018 1.5 TSI Edition suffered with the kangarooing problem and I put up with it until the first service. The local dealership carried out the engine mapping modification. The technician told me at the time our car was a guinea pig for them as it was the first time they had done so. It totally cured the problem. The very small (27 square mile) rock on which we live ensures that it is 95% urban driving and is probably as good a test as the car could get. It's a great car and a few people, badge snobs included, have told me how refined it is and how surprised they were that it was a Skoda. One particular Lexus owner was bragging of all the gizmos that were included on his vehicle. The Karoq Edition matched everything his car had, except for adaptive cruise control. His car lacked the bottom of door courtesy lights. I know which of those two I find more useful at night, when it is very wet.
