  1. Paws, I did think that but the actual hydraulics are working. I was thinking of testing it (on a private road) but not sure it would replicate it. I did have an incident in January where someone went through a puddle on the motorway next to me. There was a lot of water and the ABS kicked in. Ok this was before the abs light came on but thought it was worth mentioning. There is obviously a problem in the system somewhere otherwise warning lights wouldnt be on so im not that naive...
  2. Strange enough i 'tried' to get my mechanic to change the fuel filter as part of maintenance. He told me there was not much point in changing unless there was a problem with it 🤷‍♂️
  3. Hi, I have had the abs and traction control lights come on my dash. Ive taken it to a garage who read the code as "01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump". I don't have any problems with my brakes or any other part of the car - as far as i can tell. They cleared the fault codes for me, however they came back on the next morning. I have read some of the other posts relating to code 01276 but they seem slightly different. There doesn't actually seem to be anything wrong with my car. I have checked the battery and the fuses under the bonnet - no problems there. There is a bit of 'old weepage' around the abs module but looks like its been that way for awhile. Sometimes when i start the car there is only an abs light on shortly followed by the traction control light coming on. Sometimes they both come on and sometimes they both come on, then go off, then come on again... Now if i need to just replace the abs module then fine but part of me feel like I'm changing it for no reason (to an extent) given that i don't have any problems with my braking system. FYI i had the system bled and fresh fluid in Nov last year. Has anyone else come across the problem im describing? Did you just replace the module and everything was ok or was it something else i could look in to? My car is a 2010 VRS Mk2 petrol. DSG. About 130k miles. Any help appreciated. TIA
  4. Hi all, I have the Columbus with Kufatec bluetooth. I can use for hands free calls fine. I can stream bluetooth audio from spotify - kind of. Can anyone help with the questions below: Every time i want to stream audio i have to use the maxi dot and enable A2DP then i can start streaming. The quality is really poor, sounds very tinny and no depth to it. I have tried the setup on the maxi dot but can only turn volume up / down. - Is there a way to just enable A2DP without having to do it manually every time i start the car? - Does everyone else's audio sound shocking? On my 'Media' button i only have AUX lit up. The bluetooth symbol is greyed out (even though i am streaming audio). I should be able to see song titles / info and use the skip track on the steering wheel. Anyone else have this problem? Any help>
  5. i imagine whatever is wrong with it that its going to be expensive. Im not willing to pay any more towards it because i could of bought another car (that runs) for the amount its cost in repairs, let alone running costs. Im not convinced Skoda will pay the bill, however they have admitted the problem exists. I cant remember exact details when the coolant was changed. It was probably done when i had the waterpump changed. Its also been flushed by the garage more times than my toilet! Not sure on their tests. Said they had the system under pressure over the weekend and couldnt find anything.
  6. Bit of a revival... Think I made a post about mine losing coolant but thought I would reply here as it sounds similar. My mk3 tdi 60k miles has been losing coolant for some time now (maybe 1year +). Car is up to date with every service with full dealer history. Car went in for losing coolant. They charged me for diagnosing egr cooler. Still leaking. Went back and they charged me for charge cooler. Still leaking. Went back and they have so far covered the cost of; Water pump (even though I'd had it done) Pressure test Head gasket They said they're struggling to find where the leak is coming from. I got in touch with skoda customer service and explained the story. We agreed the dealer would keep and road test my car for 1 week to see if they can identify the cause. Just spoken with the dealer today and we both agreed it could well be possible the head is cracked. Waiting to hear back on skoda customer service views to see what can be done. To be fair to the dealer they have been pretty pro active all things considered. I'm still in the situation that I have spent £1000s in the first batch of repairs and have a pretty useless car... No idea what will happen with the cracked head situation. It seems pretty common on these cars that they leak coolant, has anyone got any further than me with the whole situation?
