  1. Not sure which is 'server' in wifi setup, my router or the car? Yes, have checked it, and left it using the esim. AFAIK the 'vehicle wakeup' is (when on) set to connect (or try to) when the app is woken? I'm starting to favour the car 'thinking' 12.3V is too low for the connection to the app. Dave
  2. I've not seen that - clue to where to find it please?
  3. Difficult when I've no comms, app to car?
  4. Tks - taking each point. The car was driven 8 miles. I'm on Vodafone and get a good signal. Oddity (and background) Changing the granny plug over, the car ran down the big battery to red - 20%. [ does this affect the 12V battery? ] Oddity: try and set up a plan (don't ask) Save and activate....# Message shown: "Battery protection limit reached. Skoda connect services are now disabled (Thanks Skoda) The 12V limit for remote services has been reached etc Intimates that my battery is low? Measured at 12.3V... yes, a bit low. I've heard of all electric cars flattening the 12V battery. Not on a hybrid? Dave
  5. This seems an alternate way (rather than pulling fuses?)
  6. Quite right @Edela - globe is showing grayed out (and has red cross over it?). Thanks. Pulling fuses sounds drastic - surely there must be an easier way - unless the fuse has blown?
  7. Changed the socket feeding my granny cable (Octavia IV). Wanted to see if it was charging. Open the app... "last updated 7 days ago" It really is hopeless.
  8. 13A socket getting warm. I believe a thermistor is used in the plug to monitor temperature? Two (thin) wires, red and white are fed into the plug (I think for this purpose). Has anyone swapped the 13 plug / socket for a commando socket to reduce resistance? If so, what is the thermistor wiring please?
  9. Which is that Pete? Not an estate?
  10. Fuse Box Diagram Skoda Octavia (Mk4_NX; 2020-2023).pdf If I interpret it right, fuse 12 would seem to be the right one?
  11. Rear lights OK. No rear brake lights. I can't locate the fuse in the manual. Anyone located it please?
  12. My assumption is that if you raise the temperature (from the app) the heating will turn on.
  13. If you see 'Target temperature', switch on and set a temp higher than current outside temp.
  14. Not needed here - but for any feature, it would be nice if it worked occasionally.
  15. New update for the app... As per, still unable to find my car. I give up on this piece of ...
  16. No answer, Skoda app in the bin.
  17. Within 4m of the car, I doubt reception is the issue.
  18. Only use I found was finding out if the battery was charged whilst inside the house. As of most recent car software update, the battery level shows 81%, the connection 'unplugged'. Not much use. Re-installed the app, no change. Bin it?
  19. How do I 'mark this post as a solution' - as asked by an email?
  20. "Another way to check for heated windscreen is to look for a lighter rectangular-patch on the dark areas left and right of the rear-view mirror. For heated windscreens those two patches are missing the metallic layer to avoid attenuation of electromagnetic waves - checkout the 2nd picture." Thanks @SkOmk4, that makes sense. - when the frost clears I'll have a look 🙂
  21. Using the app, the rear screen clears of frost quickly. The front screen appears not to be affected? Close inspection, I'm unable to see any heating wires in the front screen? Is it heated please?
