Resurrecting this old thread rather than start a new related one:
2017 Superb estate, drivers power seat has stopped working. OBD scan gives code: U020800 - Lost Communication With “Seat Control Module A”
I've checked the fuse - #45 - and it's OK (continuity test with meter as it's a metal cased one), and also #26 (heated front seats) as a precaution - also OK. Groping under the seat I can only see/feel one connector and it seems tight.
A few questions:
Is there only the one connector, and how does it disconnect so I can connect/disconnect it a few times to clean up any possible bad contact?
How is the module fixed in place and is it easy to remove? Can it be done with the seat in situ or does the seat need to come out?
If I replace the module, does it need any coding to let the system know it's there?
(The first two questions wouldn't be needed if weren't for the fact that it's a black connector on a black module in a dark place, upside down with no clearance!)
Thanks
