Afternoon, I ended up having a new manifold on mine but I managed to find it online from a dealer (can't remember which one now) but I paid around £450 give or take and then plus labour total bill around £700, think I may still have the plastic bracket in the shed somewhere as I bought that hoping it would be an easy fix!

Hi mate. Thank you for the reply, yeah it should sound ok and apparently give around 3 bhp gain, I just didn't wanna put it on and then find out I gotta get it mapped again! Plus I gotta get round me other half she ain't having it at the mo!!

I know it's probably a silly question but on other websites/ forums some say it's best to get the car remapped after having an performance exhaust fitted, I didn't think it was necessary but...

Dan13 started following Aircon and Hornet exhaust.

Evening guys n girls! I'm thinking of getting a "race" hornet exhaust for my MK2 Octavia vrs TDI car has already been remapped but would I have to have it done again if I have this exhaust fitted?
-
Thank you for the replies guys, it's going to be Dynoed again tom by my regular mechanic so I will see what he says for definite and go from there, and get the few other codes done aswell
-
Ok, does that mean a new compressor or can you just replace the valve?
-
Ahh yeah I didn’t think of that bud il check that Lata, just been out and it’s working fine. Odd!
-
The guy that did the regas said the sensor had an intermittent fault so the Aircon temp he said was cold and then just blowing cool but so far it seems ok, he didn't give me a fault code unfortunately which obviously would of been easier.
-
Thank you for the reply mate👍, ahh ok I wasnt to sure exactly what the sensor does! I'm going out in the car shortly so il see if it still working ok like yourself if it's working fine il leave it

Afternoon guys/girls. I had my Aircon regassed earlier as it had run out, the guy told me that it was cold but then started to blow cool/warm air then cold n so forth. He plugged his Dyno machine in and it told him that the air quality sensor was faulty (among other fault codes not related to the Aircon), I have just been out in my car for around 30 mins with the Aircon on and it was ice cold the entire time even turned it off for few mins and back on and it was fine. Should I change the sensor as it's intermittently faulty or leave it as the Aircon is blowing nice cold air? Car is a MK2 vrs TDI estate. Any advice will be appreciated.

Yeah that's my annual millage so fairly low, at every oil change when it's been drained it's black, definitely no track days as much as I've been tempted! Il b taking the engine flush back to Halfords most definitely 👍

Thanks for your replies guys👍. Think I'm gonna go with your advice. At the time I bought it I just looked at the reviews on the product rather than whether you just use it on a particular car or at all, so basically because I have an oil change every 4_5k that should b sufficient enough to keep the engine ticking over nicely anyway. I should of asked on here first huh!
