  1. Afternoon guys, I'm looking at getting coilovers for my mk2 Octavia vrs estate, I'm liking the look of the prosport as they lower the car minimum 30mm front and rear, has anyone fitted this kit to there car and what are they like? I'm on a budget (£250) ish so the prosport is appealing to me! Appreciate any feedback. Thank you guys,
  2. Dan13 started following Abs light, and Coilovers
  3. Afternoon guys, just an update. Had my abs sensor done earlier and all good mechanic said it came off ok bit of a struggle but all 👍. No more warning lights on the dash 🙏👍. Thank you all for your advice much appreciated as always guys 👍
  4. Yeah I assume so mate as it's only come on since the abs light, I'm impatient so next Wednesday can't come soon enough spec when it comes to my car 👍😀
  5. Hi mate, I did check them earlier 3 were on 32psi and the left rear ( the one with the abs fault was 33) so all ok really I dropped it to 32 so all the same now, mechanic I use can't do it till next Wednesday but I don't do high mileage so il be ok 👍
  6. Yeah I did increase the pressures in them 10 days ago as we was going away (3 people and a German shepherd in the boot so I presume now with the weather warming up that could have bought the light on to say there now to high, il check them tomorrow see where there at👍 and yeah the salt is a ****ing mare mate I always hose pipe the underneath of my car when I'm cleaning it just to help get the salt off!
  7. Hi guys, thank you for your advice I will bear this all in mind if I pluck up the courage to do it when the sensor arrives, I don't understand tho why it throws the TPM light on tho? Guess it's just all linked?
  8. Good evening everyone, earlier today I had the abs/TC/TPM lights all illuminated on my car's dash, so when I got home I plugged my obd in and I got the code 00290 left rear abs wheel speed sensor so I've ordered a new one (Bosch for £17). Just been reading that people have had to replace the hub in some cases, is this a common issue or more likely to just be the sensor does anybody know please? My cars a MK2 Octavia vrs tdi. Thank you guys 👍👍
  9. I just googled that number it brings up, air intake manifold flap actuator, I bought the ally bit for my car hoping it would do the trick untill I got a bill for around £600 for a new manifold Inc labour but my car had about 140k on it so was well worth my spending the ££ on him!
  10. Hi mate, I think from memory and what my mechanic said that the repair kit only works on each individual plastic/ ally manifold etc, but I had to have a new manifold in the end anyway as it was cracked
  11. Nice car tho mate wouldn't fancy filling that up😭
  12. Well hopefully mine won't need coding it didn't last time from memory!
  13. I don't remember ever having a yuasa in any of my cars but the reviews got nearly 5/5, could be worse tho as my misses has a Audi A3 TDI and her battery is £260 ISH as it's start/stop same as my sister's antara!
  14. I've just seen a yuasa 5 year warranty 65ah with 640 cca £98 without fitting sounds good 👍
  15. Maybe I'm wrong so I'm most probably guessing, but would my car have left Skoda with this size battery as surely you wouldn't down grade to call it that from an 096 to a 027 n have to get the correct battery cover as well?! I hear what your saying mate bout the higher ah etc, why can't it be simple one battery size etc etc!!
  16. Hi mate, mines diesel have had the car nearly 8 yes so this will be the second time I will have had to change the battery (027) doesn't make it easy when you can have to sizes! Does it make a lot of difference having the 027 rather than the 096?
