Karoq Sportline Haldex oil change interval?
This is interesting as it seems to be applied to cars older than 2024 as well, so possibly suggesting that problems have arisen with the previous 3 yearly change? 🤔

Karoq Sportline Haldex oil change interval?
I asked the dealer about the filter cleaning and they confirmed it wasn't routinely done. I was then advised it could be done as a special request for 0.75 hours labour, so they obviously knew that time without hesitation. Now booked into my longterm independent workshop, for a considerably lower hourly rate.

Karoq Sportline Haldex oil change interval?
My Karoq is 2yo in early March and the dealer has phoned to say it is recomended that the brake fluid be changed, but also that the Haldex oil should be changed at 2 years as well. This was a surprise as the Haldex oil in my 2017 Yeti only had to be changed at 4 years/37,000 miles, so just wondering if this is standard or a con? The car was a Skoda Management one and only has 10k on the clock. Suggested costings would be helpful as they don't appear on the Skoda menu pricing list. Thanks, Peter

Fitting aftermarket towbar
I'm thinking that the caravan mags don't know this, since Practical Caravan have tested a Cupra Ateca, Skoda Superb and VW Tiguan as towcars in the past 6 months. 🤔

Karoq Towing Weights ...confusion
I've dug out the Certificate of Conformity for my Karoq and it states 1604kg MIRO (mass in running order) but 1735kg actual mass. The UK gov website has MIRO including full tank of fuel and 75kg for the driver, and this aligns with the Operating Weight listed in the handbook, so I don't know where my extra 131kg has come from. The only extras I have are a spare wheel and factory towing kit, but I wouldn't have thought they were more than 30 or 40kg? Anyway, it looks like you might want to check for the listed Operating Weight for your specific model in the handbook?

Karoq Towing Weights ...confusion
My Bailey Pursuit 430-4 is a fixed bed 4 berth with an MTPLM figure of 1229kg, but it's 10 years old. The equivalent new van is the Bailey Discovery D4-4 which comes with an MTPLM of 1248kg, which is just below the 85% weight of 1275kg, assuming your Karoq to be 1500kg. I'm sure there will be others that fit the bill, so it would be worth getting to the National Show at the NEC this week to see what's available if you can? https://mcshow.co.uk/

Camera in door mirror?
Thanks for that, I didn't think it would be standard if they could charge more as an option. 😉

Camera in door mirror?
I've been looking at towing mirrors for the Karoq, with a choice of with mirror camera or without mirror camera. Would I be right in thinking that a mirror camera would only be fitted as part of the Parking Assist package (which my Karoq doesn't have) ? TIA

Virtual Cockpit Mess
Would week 14 maybe coincide with the increased list price in April?

Fitting aftermarket towbar
I'm in a similar position at the moment, and have gained the following info from caravan magazines. The situation seems to be that the car must at least have towbar preparation specified at build to allow towbar fitment later. This then shows up on the VIN plate at the base of the B pillar which has 4 lines of numbers. If the second line is 0 this means that the car has not been homologated for towing and a towbar can't(?) or shouldn't be fitted to that particular vehicle. I'm not sure how aware each salesman might be about this?

Best towbar choice
Thanks for the reply. No trailer outline on the screen, reverse alarms very much sound when trying to hook up caravan, just tried the rear foglight one with my trailer and it doesn't light up.

Best towbar choice
I have the Westfalia removable one fitted by a local specialist, but I don't think they reprogrammed the electrics as mentioned above. No problems at all towing my caravan which comes in at 79% of the Yeti kerbweight.

Touch Screen
It did work, so that was a big help in getting there on time. Thanks again for the tip. 😉

Touch Screen
Just tried this on mine for a journey I need to make tomorrow and it seems to have worked! Fingers crossed it still works tomorrow morning when I set off. 🤞

Arnold Clark Inverness
In the good old days of the old Skoda garage at Delmore, they made a point of showing you that any part that had been replaced had VW very clearly stamped on it. Not a worry for me now that mine is over 3, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of warranty work being carried out? Servicing is surely the easy part and many independents can do it, but warranty work is potentially a lot more costly and needs a proper relationship with the manufacturer. Getting a servicing slot seemed to take a few weeks as well, so I'm not sure that Hawco will be improving that if they're using their existing workshop.
