  1. I have it booked to be looked at in a fortnight. It is a daily driver but only 5 miles there and back. Will not take it long distance.
  2. I had my daughter in the car - she thinks it is at the rear left. My mileage is 68,401 and the car is a 15 plate so could it be the cause? Can I still drive it long distance?
  3. Its come on gradually. It is still there if I freewheel (disengage the clutch). It also seems to make no difference if I turn the wheel. I would say it is more a whirr than a whine.
  4. My Scout has a whine that gets worse at higher speed. I have today changed from a set of wheels with winter tyres, to a set with summer wheels - the whine is still there. Could it be the Haldex? It is currently a daily driver. Should I stop until I can get the car looked at?
  5. the temprature never goes above 90 degrees C.
  6. I have a 15 plate Octavia Scout diesel. From start the engine heats up to 90 degrees C and stays there. However the engine overheat warning comes on and then is on constantly for the jouney. The car does not appear to have a limp mode but it does seem to slow the engine. The coolant system is normal, the overheat sensor has been changed. Does anyone have a similar issue and can a main dealer repair? I think this may be a software issue.
  7. Does the standard Octavia bumper fit an Octavia Scout 2015 or does it have a special bumper? - the previous model Scout had the same bumper.
