Couple of nice finds there that I missed!.. will get on that in the morning. any idea why the GGU boxes seem to be more expensive than some other codes? We’re there not many made?

Afternoon all! My appologise if this has been covered before, my searches failed.. So! Our poor little 1.9Tdi Fabia Elagance has had a hard life & at 220000 miles its getting tired. Gearbox seems to be the main issue, noisey, clonks & so on. Its a GGU code box (5spd manual) but cant seem to find one anywhere. Do any 5spd VAG boxes fit (not to worried about gear ratios being a bit different) or does it need to be like for like swap? Many thanks in advance, Merv!
