  1. Not tight just shrewd!! 😉😂
  2. Its a camera in the windscreen by the rear view mirror. Having had Matrix lights on my Golf GTI I'm a little disappointed by the Skodas, they seem to be a bit clunky rather than smooth when they relight after a car has gone past
  3. I took mine off the wifes last Kodiaq and swapped them to the new one after a jet wash and vinyl cleaner to get them as clean as the rest of the car
  4. That is mental how come you’ve had to wait twelve months? We had a factory order Sportline ordered in May ‘22 and have had it since September last year!
  5. Race blue is nice the wifes Race blue is an awesome colour our last one was the same yours looks very nice. Wonder why it took 12 months though we ordered a 1.5 Sportline in May and it was delivered in Sept. Can only think it must be your spec which delayed it? Be careful with the plastic door protectors and little hands my (now 9 year old twins) managed to break both off on our original SE-L which came with them as standard first one was covered under warranty the second I had to pay to replace.
  6. No you don’t get the maps on the 8” display but if you use Apple Maps for directions it does show turn information which is pretty useful shown in the last photo o my post above
  7. You're right they are pretty good and I thought the same about the lines either side. I'd sooner have had the VC but with the pan roof it would have taken us the wrong side of the £40k luxury VED bracket so this is a good alternative
  8. Managed to get some pics last night of the new standard dash in its various settings. Worth noting too that the turn directions on the dash work for Apple Maps when it’s connected through Car Play
  9. That’s the full size VC though not the VC lite or whatever the now standard digital dials are called. Still not been back in the car since!!!
  10. No the old digital section between the dials definitely doesn’t have more info. I always thought it was quite limited what it did show the new dash is better but you can’t have maps up like you can on VC if that’s what you’d hoped?
  11. Yes there are quite a few different things you can show on the left and right but only one thing at a time. I’ll get some photos when I’m next in the car
  12. I have a Mk8 Golf with the VC equivalent annd aI’m the same. When we ordered the wife’s Kodiaq she was adamant she just wanted plain dials. When she found out it was the VC lite version she was disappointed but now she’s seen it she quite likes it especially the fact she can have the speed front and centre and her turn directions from the Nav on the side screen. I also agree I don’t think the website does it justice it’s much better in the flesh
  13. Yes we took delivery of ours on Saturday I can get pictures of the three different modes if you like but the two displays on left and right of the speed shown in the picture can be configured to show different things (driving data, audio, nav instructions (not maps) compass etc etc. It’s not a bad alternative to the virtual cockpit (we ordered ours pre MY23 without VC)
  14. Ye see took delivery of ours on Saturday I can get pictures of the three different modes if you like but the two displays on left and right if the speed shown in the picture. It’s not a bad alternative to the virtual cockpit (we ordered ours pre MY23 without VC)
  15. We ordered a replacement Sportline in May got a phone call to say it’s landed in Newcastle and waiting for a transporter to bring it cross country!
  16. Compare a Kodiaq to a Tiguan 7 seater and they are still cheaper I suppose and I think out of the tarraco and Tiguan personally I think the Kodiaq is still the better looking one
  17. I kind of agree we’re nearly on our third Kodiaq, the first one had two umbrellas and the pop out door protectors and cooled glove box now it will have one umbrella and that’s it!!! I am both I drive a VW the wife a Skoda I’m not sure what I look like! 😂
  18. Suspect they are priced to not sell but if someone rocked up with the tube of a silly amount of money they would? They are a good quality cheaper VW?
  19. I’m no salesman but I am educated and don’t get drawn in by salesmen and their sell. My wife’s first Kodiaq we put a nominal deposit on as we did on her current Sportline i don’t roll over and take the first offer and like to think I know the market. Let’s face it we’re two years into a 4 year PCP why would I change unless I thought it was a good deal?! I appreciate what you’re saying Skodas aren’t necessarily a luxury car but there are few cars that do it all for the price the Kodiaq does and for a family car hat has the same space and potentially 7 seats you’d be hard pressed to find one that isn’t already above £40k, I’ve looked at Touregs, XC90’s Kia Sorentos etc and I struggle to find a car that is better value for money they are very good and at least as good as their Seat and VW counterparts I’m more concerned about what will happen with value of cars as we get closer to the ban on ICE cars in a few years rather than current values and that’s perhaps why ‘m more comfortable paying in a PCP knowing if the arse really fell out of the market in the next four years I could walk away. it really is Stange times
  20. Is that not the same on any car though? I bought a Golf GTI Clubsport 12 months ago, got a £5k discount for an in stock model. 12 months later its worth what I paid for it, The nearly new ones are going for more than the retail and the retail has gone up to over £40k basic (for a golf!!!) Discounts are still out there we ordered a brand new Sportline with a better spec than our current model (which is only 2 years old) and the monthly is pretty much the same with no additional money in. Its horses for courses of course and if the arse falls out of it depreciation wise being on a PCP we walk away! All depends on how you finance the car in the first place I suppose I always treat a PCP like I would leasing a car but with a little more flexibility. Note your points about the screen and interesting that you wouldn't spec the bigger one if you had the 8" option.
  21. And they have better sound proofing I had an A6 diesel a few years ago it was the best screwed together car I’ve ever had it was so quiet on the motorway
  22. I have a Golf 8 and love the screen in that, I was trying to persuade the wife to spec her newly ordered Sportline with the virtual cockpit but she was adament she preferred the dials (like her current MY21 Kodiaq) not sure how she will react if her new one rocks up towards the end of the year with a digital cluster!!! *send help!* 😓
  23. I have a Golf and I don’t know why they are slated so much I don’t have any issues with them. with regards to the MY23 changes assuming you have placed the order already but it crosses model year the car will be built as a MY23? Ordered the wife a replacement Sportline pencilled in to be built at the end of August so I assume this would be MY23?
  24. coding a battery to a car? thats a new one on me!!!!
