Hi is this car still for sale or did it sell?
Have you got any front pictures and interior pictures please.
Cheers
-
I've just had another 2 cheapo tyres fitted to my shed heap lupo, they are branded Revolo. They were 33 quid each fitted. The last ones did 20k miles and I'll he honest and say they were really good right up until I changed them.
I'd fit them to anything with upto about 100bhp as most cars with that sort of power are meant to be pottering around. They have been excellent. In the dry they are very good and the wet they have been excellent.
20k miles per tyre on the front I don't think is bad at all.

Your best bet if to just get a hand held temp gun and point it at the Turbo, it will take a few seconds and your have a reading, very quick.
After being driven hard my Cupra R's turbo would glow red/orange, not sure on what temp it was though?

Can't be in Ashburton, where most of the work was done, that's not close to the Devon/Kerno border! This is coming from a guy who used to live just up the road from there in Newton Abbot
That's where the car is now, i live just the other side of the Tamar Bridge. My friend who i bought it off lives just around the corner from Ashburton Tyres where it was serviced. The car was owned but him, a lady who also lived close to the garage and the owner of the garage.
Newton Abbot's not far from me, down the A38 then down some pretty cool lanes :). I always seem to get stuck behind some granny doing 15mph though

Ah yeah sorry guys there's a bit of info that get's lost in all that lot. I should have put the price at the top. It's £2200 ono.
It would be nice if it went to an owner that was to keep it standard and in the same kind of condition but hey, if they wanted to mod it that's cool, they look real nice lowered etc. I love the cupra lip spoiler, i have on on my golf, the suit the vRS!

Really good point!!!
My fabia has quite large tyres for such a small car - 205 x 40 x 17" so I think that helps - also doesn't have gti/ vrs levels of power.
I had a lupo 1.4 tdi and with a revo remap the thing was quite good fun - I remember the lupo gti only had about 20 bhp more - approx 125 bhp
Yeah if you've got a bit of power then I think your always going to struggle a little bit with cheaper brands. I wouldn't put the ones on my lupo on other cars with power but for a car with literally bugger all poke, they are brilliant. They are good in the wet and good in the dry.
I've heard they are good fun mapped. I bet you surprised a few people, they are a bit of a sleeper. They look pants lol

...and Grockles, amirite?
I had to give that a Google. Yeah the holiday makers like it down here. I've only been down here 3 years so you could say i'm one of them too lol

The £30 tyres i run on my tdi 75bhp shed of a Lupo work well. They handle all the power with ease, when the imaginary boost comes in they have no trouble keeping the wheels on the road. If you really rag it from the lights you don't even get any wheel spin. They are just brilliant

It's slow, there's lots of tractors

Outstanding, the only problem I can think of is that the car might as well be on the moon!
Devon and Cornwall does have some roads too lol
It's not that far

I've uploaded pictures to the sales advert now. There's loads uploaded but can take more if needed.
-
I have now uploaded some pictures of the car
Please have a look through them and drop me a message if your interested
-
The sales advert is now up
Full detailed pictures will follow on Monday
-
This advert will include EVERYTHING about the car. I can not stand reading sales adverts with little or no information so this will include every single detail about the car, you can then decide if it is the car for you
The car itself drives without fault. Has no strange noises, no 'bad' points to note and is a real pleasure to drive. As far as i can tell, everything on the car works. The car returns around 55mpg around town and has only been filled up with Shell V power Diesel during my friends ownership and also my brief one. This bank holiday weekend the car is being fully detailed and also having a full wet vac on the whole interior for the new owner, this itself is costing me over £200. The timing belt and waterpump were changed a week ago, along with an oil change at 114236 miles, again this has been done for the new owner and cost £355. The car has had a new battery fitted and 2 almost new rear tyres. The front tyres have plenty of tread
The bodywork on this car is extremely good and it has no dents or and real scratches to note, just a handful of stone chips to the front of the bonnet. There is no rust and no repairs. It's condition does not relate to its 114,000 miles. I've seen some shed VRS's for sale since buying this one, do not confuse this car to the sheds that are about. Please take a close look at all the pictures and you will see how much this car has been looked after. Zoom in and have a look, it has had a money no object in regards to maintenance.
The interior of the car is extremely good, the seats show very very little signs of wear. The drivers seat bolster is fine with no holes, rips or tears, the seats overall i would rate at around 8/10. The gear stick top is worn (see picture), i will try and get a replacement before the car sells. The seats and all interior is in the process of being fully cleaned and wet vac'd this weekend. The only mark that did not come out of the seats when being cleaned was what looked like a pen that had leaked, it's right on the side edge/seam of the drivers seat. You can see this in the picture. Its not bad but is visible, size wise its around the size of a 5 pence piece.
Alloys are in fairly good condition, 3 of them do have some corrosion. Please see pictures. If i was was keeping the car I would run the alloys over the winter and get them refurbished in the new year. However, they don't let the car down but would benefit from a refurb to bring them inline with the rest of the cars condition.
The headlights....... Ive decided that the headlights are also going to be machine polished this weekend too, this will bring them back to looking new. Cost of this is £40 but done for the new owner.
This weekend I've also had the engine bay fully cleaned and detailed to match the rest of the car.

I bought this car off a good friend who had owned the car since 23/1/2016. He only sold the car as he has now bought a Vauxhall XVR, he put the car up for sale and i bought it a couple of mins later. I had no hesitation as i know how well the car has been looked after. It's honestly one of the best service records i have ever seen with a car. I also have every tax disc since 2006 and lots of previous MOT's.

This takes us up to the current cars millage of roughly 114700. As you can see i have used it very little.
There will more than likely be bits i have missed out but that gives you an almost full breakdown of the cars service record. This is a 100% honest car, it does not have anything to hide at all. If you come and test drive it you will understand how well the car has been looked after, it's had an easy life by all accounts and anything replaced that needed doing. If you are after an original unmolested car then this has to be on your list to look at.
I will update and upload a lot of picture on Monday once the car has been detailed and the interior wet vac'd
The car will be available for viewings from Tuesday 29th August.
The only thing to note since having the car cleaned is the rear spoiler, the paint has faded slightly. This is more visible from the top, the front and bottom of it is ok. I've tried to take a picture of this.

After some thought I've decided to sell the Fabia. It was always bought with a view to sell but thought I might possibly keep it after giving it a drive.
It's getting fully detailed this weekend with a full interior wet vac. So just a heads up. I'll be putting an advert in the sales section tomorrow or Monday

Does your horn work when pressed? Keep it pressed down and turn the wheel all the way round lock to lock and see if it still works. It shouldn't stop until you release the horn.
I've never heard of a clock spring, is it a Skoda thing? Behind the wheel there's a slip ring that sometimes breaks and can bring up an airbag fault.

Has anyone fitted LED's to their fog lights? Wondering what they look like? I cant remember the last time i used fogs though :/
-
I've LED reversing lights in my Lupo and they are insanely bright! When you put it in reverse at night i lights up everything behind, well worth the upgrade.
The headlights with the instant 'on/off' light your seeing are from Bi Xenon units. It's basically 2 HID bulbs in one, a low beam and a high beam that instantly flicks between the 2 when one or the others selected. I guess you could fit them to the factory HID unit if you have them?? Not sure?

@FlipFlops Tried to take a video but did not have a phone holder so had to use my passenger as a camera man ^^. This video with 2 passengers. Also couldn't do 3rd gear because i was running out of road.
That looks quick with all the extra weight in it!
There's a rolling road day I've seen on here, I'm going to try and make that and see what it's running.
I've only had the car 5 days but really enjoying it, it's a fun thing to drive

I think you are wasting your time comparing video's of your rev counter or stories of the wheel spin you can achieve.
Get a cable and VCDS-Lite and take some logs or get the map inspected by someone who know what they are doing.
Not sure why you want to rev it so high on the standard turbo, even with a remap the power drops off over 4000rpm (if not before), not much point increasing the rev limit just change gear and get back to where the power is.
Yeah these are a bit different to N/A cars but it still pulls after 4k. I'm not sure where the limiter should be on these?? I agree, you can feel the power tail off.
I genuinely think wheel spin is mostly down to the way you drive and what tyres you are running, even if you do have big bhp you can still get a car to put the power on the road fairly well.
They way this fabia picks up speed though is fun. I'm not sure if it's fast or not but it's got a bit of grunt. I've been seeing some of these running 200 to 250bhp. They must be pretty quick, the cars been light and nimble, that sort of power must be a giggle.

Hi I have a Mk6 Golf tdi and that will rev to about 2.8 to 3k max while on the drive in neutral, it won't go past this but like you say, out on a drive it will rev all the way round.
