  1. Given our cars are not really moving at the moment...I suspect my battery is slowly draining. Not keen on removing the battery, so want to charge it in place, without removing it or the connected cables (and probably outside). 2018 Superb Petrol 220 - So has stop start as well Work colleagues said something like https://www.amazon.co.uk/CTEK-MXS-5-0-Reconditions-Motorcycle/dp/B00FC42HAA/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3IHP3S5DBW1O6&dchild=1&keywords=ctek%2Bmxs%2B5.0&qid=1585839653&sprefix=ctek%2Caps%2C187&sr=8-3&th=1 but not sure which size to go for it that one? Would want to use with wife's Honda Jazz as well ! Any suggestions for charger and/or size to go for?
  2. To chip in for reference: 2018 Superb. Had the groaning noise from front suspension (front left mostly) - as per original post when going over speed bumps is most noticeable, for over 6 months (so 15 months from new). Mentioned at service in Jan 2020, and they agreed and tried to fix by greasing but failed! Taken in 2 weeks later to replace front left suspension arm. This still did not fixed so they replace "all front suspension arms and loads of other related stuff" and the noise is now gone. All in Warranty. Just wonder (from the posts) how long the noise will be gone for! (I also have an internal rattle I need to track down now...a wire is loose somewhere on passenger side I think.)
  3. Just for reference for others. I also have just got this issue (so must be a common fault?). Comes and goes so will see what happens but will get it fixed under warranty if it continues. I also got the white residue on the struts.
  4. Had back a couple of days now. All working as it should. 4 menu items back (went down to 3 menu items when it 'broke'). Basically the firmware update fixed it.
  5. Mine is in dealer today, and just had call. Fixed. They found error code, followed diagnostics and updated software. Now fixed. Will get more details when I pick it up.
  6. Ignoring the merits or not of the SIM in the car, (basically might as well, as I get a deal on sim and data through work), so have the SIM in the car glovebox and normally everything works fine. However, every so often, it does not connect (The symbol is red) - Like this morning. Nothing I do will make it connect, even restarting car. Often next time I drive (say hours later) it works - but not always. There is a possibility it is due to 'cold' mornings, or maybe the monthly SIM reset (It kind of works like PAYG) but not sure of the pattern if there is one so not even 30% sure of these. Anyone else the same? Any suggestions (bearing in mind it works mostly and it just annoying) Ta Ben
  7. Ta. I have emailed my dealer to start the ball rolling.
  8. @YTT What happened? Was this sorted? Similar issues are poping up now on other thread.
  9. @Robbo12Did you sort this as mine seems to have done the same?
  10. Sounds similar. Mine normally sounded like it came from the driver side mid pillar but it really comes from below and sound resonates up the pillar. Happened very intermittently but did mostly stop with turning off engine and did not always appear next time it was turned on. Revs was 16-20k when it occurred. Did not sound like from door but behind that in pillar. Engineer heard it well when in back of car.
  11. Just to complete this thread with final status (hopefully) The fix is still working, and Skoda tech said they had not had this issue before and the fix done by garage was approved, so did not have to go back. I am assuming that my car did not have the same issue as others )I think the fuel lines were already 'rubber' covered correctly but is similar as it was the fuel lines causing the issue. Fingers crossed the fix is good enough, but see no reason to doubt it currently.
  12. Update, for others info. They had it in and it IS the fuel pipes vibration as suspected on here. A possible fix was done and seem to be working) but they wanted to get Skoda to confirm the finsl fix but they had not done so in the time the car was in. Been a week since then and I have asked for an update.
  13. Poped out today...and the clock was wrong give the move back to GMT. Checked setting and set to GPS and GMT but nothing changed. Did it manually to stop it annoying me. How long does it take to change/update if on GPS?
  14. Thanks very much. Very useful. I will pass that on. Ben
  15. Finally got around to trying to get this fixed. Dealer tech has now heard it, and booked in to be looked at/fixed next week, but they had not come across it before. ChrisJ944 Mark3538 Can you give me any more details? Which dealers did you use? (as mine could ring them to find out what they did) Would help if the fuel line issue had a reference number of any kind you know of? Thanks
