  6. Hi Peter, thanks for your reply, unfortunately ours is the red pattern of this seat.
  7. Hi all, does anyone know where you can get replacement drivers seat for a rapid 2014? It's the all in one type - no separate headrest, like a bucket seat almost. Skoda quoting over £220 for a new one! Why hero would be greatly appreciated
  8. this is the type of unit i was looking at ;- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/skoda-bolero-radio-with-code/352301184179?hash=item5206c974b3:g:HeoAAOSwqjpaotRU Is this compatible with a rapid HU?
  9. Hi All, I am looking into changing our existing radio- 'SWING' from our 14 plate spaceback. Firstly i want to keep a skoda unit. Secondly i am not bothered about Satnav. So what would be the best unit? I think its the Bolero? Is this correct? I have looked at some from eBay but they come from an Octavia or yetis are these compatible? Will it work with the BT Audio, Maxi dot display and the steering wheel controls and parking sensors? Do you have to get any specific parts-fascia-cables? Do you need to do anything with regards to VCDS? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ian

  11. For the system-dependent automatic engine shutdown to operate, the following conditions must be met. The driver's door is closed. The driver has fastened the seat belt. The bonnet is closed. The driving speed exceeded 4 km/h after the last stop. No trailer is coupled. Some additional conditions for the system to function cannot be either influenced or recognised by the driver. Therefore, the system can react differently in situations which are identical from the driver's view. If after stopping the car, the message UNABLE TO START STOP appears in the segment display or in the MAXI DOT display the check mark » Fig. 115, then the conditions for automatic engine shutdown are not met. Running the engine is essential, for example, for the following reasons. The engine temperature for the proper function of the system has not yet been reached. The charge state of the vehicle battery is too low. The current consumption is too high. High air-conditioning or heating capacity (high fan speed, big difference between the desired and actual indoor temperature). Operation In compliance with the operating conditions, automatic engine shutdown / automatic engine start takes place as described. Automatic engine shut down Stop the vehicle. Shift the gear lever to Neutral. Release the clutch pedal. Automatic engine shutdown takes place, segment display shows START STOP ACTIVE or a check mark appears in the MAXI DOT display » Fig. 115 on page 119. Automatic engine start Depress the clutch pedal. Hope this helps
  12. Hi All, My first post on here and i'm not aware that anyone has found a solution to skipping track on the BT Audio playback So i connect my phone to my 64plate skoda rapid via the bt audio. I listen to my songs through the swing radio using deezer, spotify etc. Having read a few threads, from what i gather is it isn't possible to skip songs whilst using this setup? We've had a courtesy car from skoda and it had a new radio unit with the touchscreen which does allow you to skip songs. Anyway to get to the point what i have found a way to enable you to skip songs with the swing radio in the picture above, is if you press the voice recognition button (once you have connected your phone and have the music already playing through it) allow it to ask you for a command (about one or two seconds) and then press the voice recognition button to end it, you will find the song playing has now skipped onto the next song. Or at least that whats happens when using mine. So i thought i'd share this to see if A) Anyone knows of a better way? or if there isn't an existing way then this may help. Let me know you thoughts? Thanks Ian
