  1. It’s also called pi55ing me off. I’m so glad I’ve rejected the damn thing and it will soon be gone.
  2. Picked the car up from the dealer yesterday. They’ve replace a gateway module and updated the software. Now I don’t have Smartlink, ACC, Front Assist, Limiter and Mode button does nothing at all. Great.
  3. Update. Dealer can’t get me in until 20th Dec. Advised me to call Roadside Assistance who weren’t best pleased. Spoke to another branch and car booked in for 6th Dec.
  4. Tried the forced reboot, but no joy.
  5. Thanks for your comprehensive reply. It’s been so crap today it won’t even get past the ‘loading settings’ page so I can’t get the current SW revision or even listen to the radio! Will update as soon as I do
  6. After many years of Octavia Scout joy I really dislike this Octavia IV. It’s latest fault is the SOS function. The dealer cleared the code rather than diagnosing and fixing the problem. It used to make a couple of bizarre noises from the speaker then display the fault. Now it seems to be on all the time. i have had loads of electrical warning messages such as headlights out, front assist not working, handbrake and P not engaging when switched off, random alarm activations, not being able to unlock car at all, main display just ‘loading settings’ for the entire journey, Apple Car play randomly disconnects or refuses to connect at all and a few I’ve forgotten. Does anybody know if these are known issues with a fix as don’t want to waste time taking it in just for faults to be cleared Cheers T
  7. That’s the chap. I’ll just need a day when I have sufficient patience to take the glove box out!
  8. Cheers. Guess I’ll need to get something piggy backed from the fuse board
  9. Bugger. Just bought some USB-C to 12v cigarette lighter socket adapters to power some auxiliary lights. Explains why only the neon on the switch lights up!
  10. Anybody know the output voltage of the USB-C sockets?
  11. After 4 years of trouble free ownership, I changed my Octavia Scout for an Octavia IV. I have had a few electrical/software issues, mainly warning messages that self resolve . Front Assist Unavailable or Reduced Capability Alarm going off for fun DRL failure message The main issue though is the remote fobs. They seem to go to sleep and do not then unlock the car. When KESSY was disabled this meant a call to the AA, but other than diagnosing a communication issue we didn’t get any further. Booked in at the dealer at the end of next week (4 weeks since the issue started). I have tried syncing the keys, but no joy. The keys go to sleep soon after locking regardless of how I lock the car. Any ideas?
