  1. Hi, Anyone know how to replace the DRL below? Wish for better colour temp to match Phillips 5800K H7's Headlight out job I guess?
  2. Just for info to all, In my 2019 SE, I have all Philips Ultinon Pro9000 2 Pairs H7 - No Dazzle or bad effects 1 Pair H11 for Fog lights - Yes these particular H11 fit and our circa 35% brighter than H8, with other H11's some "ring" adaption is required with tins snips but these fitted first time. A lot of money, hard to justify for many but awesome results No Canbus errors or any negatives, save up!
  3. 2019 2.0 Tdi, 7K miles same hissing problem exactly the same noise as the video, recording attached. Warranty job I would hope. Hissing Skoda.m4a
  4. Hi, Superchips may have an issue with the ECU on my 2019 plate 2.0 Tdi 150, I want to confirm the ECU type fitted, any suggestions how? I thought it would have been the same ECU and my old Superb MY2018 as same SCR engine but maybe not? Any thoughts?
  5. For H7 the best are, Philips RacingVision GT200 - Most Light For H15 sorry no idea as not in my facelift model, choice seems limited. If you have H8 fogs I can confirm with small mod using tin snips these will fit for a big light upgrade, simply take out your H8's and trim the metal H11 connectors to match. Philips X-tremeVision Pro150 H11 or for White look Philips WhiteVision ultra. Basically 55W bulbs in place of 35W circa an extra 500lm, fuses don't blow and all was fine after a 1 hour test I did but can't guarantee long term. All these bulbs are new for 2020, I'm happy with them but then I'm a Philips fanboy! https://www.philips.co.uk/c-m-au/car-lights/headlights/latest#availability=all&filters=CAR_HEADLIGHTS_SU&page=2&layout=12
  6. From manual, The AdBlue®-tank filling is about 12 litres. At 2000 miles left mine suggested min/max amounts
  7. Sorry missed this one, for the Superb same Tdi 150 SCR engine and manual gearbox, the whole thing felt more lively and immediate at all revs, more torque to start with and mid range felt mighty is how I remember it. I only just have the new car but will do soon and report back.
  8. Ok so the 2020 Philips RacingVision GT200 went into today and have just been tested, very impressed as by far the best halogen I have seen, I bought from ABD. If they burn out I buy more, price will be more sensible soon. I have the facelift model so full beam also H7, had some old but unused Philips RacingVision 150's for those, good but 50% less than the GT's but can live with that as full beam use limited. Loved how easy the fit was, has been a real pain on some cars! FYI picture or original H7 provided I also want to change the front indicator bulbs, look awkward, anyone done it?
  9. Nice Wheels Dave Question off topic what is the tint type/% on windows below? Just about to tint myself and those look good to me!
  10. Superchips and bluefin get my vote as so easy to return to stock before sending to dealer, did it on my former Superb 150 TDi and the results were excellent, will do the Octavia soon. Or Revotechnik, avoid the cheap "Race chips". Darkside look good, they have a youtube channel For your car superchips say +34BHP and +109NM, that torque figure is impressive, 489NM total!
  11. H7's just come out - Philips RacingVision GT200 car bulbs elevate your automotive experience. Up to 200% brighter light
  12. Hi, New bulb just out, "Philips RacingVision GT200 car bulbs elevate your automotive experience. Up to 200% brighter light"
  13. Dipped and DRL DRL, Dipped & High Beam Pictures don't really show but now the dipped beam Phillips racing look "very warm" against DRL'S and the 100W MTEC Super Whites look "slightly warm" against DRL'S. With the stock DRL's the Phillips looked a very "cool" colour temp. I'm happy with results as main focus was getting rid of the old DRL's that ruin the look day or night, the MTEC bulbs are not blindingly bright so could be used for dipped if one was happy to take the chance. So the old stock candles are gone for good! Bulb listing/links in previous post Will show the Nightbreaker H8 fogs later
  14. So Finally got round to doing the SE Tech DRL change, took off the wheel and arch liner, neatly cut out the plastic cap pulled out the old 10p yellow candle bulb and put in one of these, https://www.hids-direct.co.uk/pwy24w-white-60w-cree-xbd-smd-12-5w-canbus-bmw-indicator-led/ Looks great and no canbus errors plus work both as DRL and side light without issue. For a couple of quid I bought two indicator rubber covers and can confirm they fit perfectly so no need for hinges and masking tape some have mentioned, God knows why in 2018 Skoda on a + £20K car don't do this as standard, even their MY18 brochure says the LED DRL from S model but that's a lie as we know. Got dark so second one tomorrow . Not sure on the colour temp, looks like 6000K to me, not mentioned in spec. Phone camera makes the new one glare but with eyes they look fine, no dazzle. Also found the front indicators are actually the same PWY fitting with Amber 10p halogen bulb, shame I didn't have some of those ready, Hids direct also do an Amber version 60W but seems like overkill for an indicator, another day maybe ... Not shown yet but dipped beam now Philips Racing H7 (Legal) and high beam 100W MTEC https://www.hids-direct.co.uk/mtec-100w-super-white-natural-glass-bulbs-h1-h3-h4-h7-9004-9005-9006-9007/ (illegal as 100W but not normally ever on, very bright!) Reverse lights now https://www.hids-direct.co.uk/382-p21w-white-60w-cree-xbd-smd-12-5w-canbus-led/ no errors look great I can also confirm on hatch rear indicators are BAU15s aka 581 PY21W (offset pins), maybe these https://www.hids-direct.co.uk/osram-ledriving-premium-581-py21w-amber-led-bulbs-x-2/ Front fogs will soon be https://www.osram.com/am/ecat/NIGHT BREAKER UNLIMITED-Halogen headlight lamps-Cars-Automotive Lighting/com/en/GPS01_1090035/PP_EUROPE_Europe_eCat/ZMP_4052785/ Roof lights now contain 2x2 off https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0088XET0S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 a big improvement, still have the puddle lights, mirror lights and glovebox to do, same gain I guess. Boot lights used 2 off https://www.hids-direct.co.uk/1-x-501-w5w-17-samsung-3623-gold-canbus-led-5000k-white/ very bright , can't see the need for Super Skoda ones myself Door lights did go to Super Skoda for the red/white one, look good but was expecting even better and the red is heading towards purple, you could just upgrade the standard W5W halogen bulb if looking to save cash. Cheers
