  1. Exactly the same behavior after setting up from scratch. I can do stuff like zoom in/out and select a new destination but I am unable to click any of my shortcuts or click menu button. Unplug and replug bakes it normal again for the next x minutes/hours. I don't see others with this problem so maybe it is something at my end. Standard Samsung S22, connected via USB-C. Tried other cables. I have a funny feeling my AA semi-crashes when something happens on my phone in the background but debugging shows nothing.
  2. Finally got the 1941 update over the weekend. I didn't have any loop problems, but I am hoping it *might* fix the Android Auto bug I have. Anyone else use Android Auto via USB-C? Works flawlessly? Periodic problems? Mine mostly works perfectly, but occasionally I am unable to press icons which requires me to reconnect USB-C.
  3. Car is booked in on Wednesday for the SmartLink activation. £136 down but I need to mess with Android and VAG combo. Really enjoying the car. It is a serious step up from my previous 2012 Honda Civic EX GT.
  4. Thanks for all the advice. I shall probably look to getting something after new year so I can read further. I like the idea of flexibility so if these newer boxes do exactly what a remap does I may just go down the DTUK route. Also bought myself the OBDeleven device and pro license so can have a play with 'stuff'. Turned off the acoustic engine noise jobby so far - works well!
  5. Interested in this myself. I just bought a 2016 Octavia Estate vRS diesel. I've owned a Leon FR 150 that was mapped by Will @p-torque.co.uk, back around 2004. Was a very nice smooth map. I also had a Revo and APR map on a Cupra R 225. These were more aggressive than the P-Torque one. I don't want anything that loads up the clutch too much.
  6. Hi all, First post - I have the Amundsen system on a 2016 Octavia Estate vRS. Do I need to have SmarkLink activated before I can use Android Auto? Phone is a Samsung S7 Edge. My system detects the phone when I plug in the USB but then starts playing random music files from my phone (including ringtones, alerts and my saved videos..........very odd!!) but then nothing else happens.
  7. Hi all, Big fan of the VAG brand. I jumped to the other side with Honda for 5 years. Previous owner of the following:- Leon FR PD150 (P-Torque remapped etc..) Leon Cupra R 225 (APR, REVO remapped etc..) Audi A3 Sports (OEM) Loved the Cupra FR & R. Audi disappointed me so jumped to Honda Civics. New job requires me to have an estate so said goodbye to Honda and bought a 2016 vRS diesel. Car is lovely! Petrol-head so had to overcome the diesel factor but really happy with my new car. It has lane assist, Amundsen system, zenons, roofbars. I am slightly annoyed at myself for not paying more attention to the SmartLink system at the time of buying - I saw the icon so presumed it was on the car and ready to go. Now I realise it is there but not active. £135 to activate. Eek. I have however bought the OBDeleven so will see what it can do...... Hi all from Rochdale, Chris
