  1. Yes Arianne, I saw the Canton logo on my A pillars as you informed me. Interested to hear your thoughts on the sound system using your own music files. Think you may need USC connector for your portable storage.
  2. I've not tried looking on the A pillars as I thought they would be on my front door speakers like my 17 Plate.
  3. Replaced my Mk3 17 plate superb L&K with a Mk 4 2025 plate L&K. Tech is of course way better and I like the new gear shift. However interior finish in my mind not as nice. On my old superb speakers have a Canton emblem on them but not so on my Mk4.
  4. Thanks Smudgers.
  5. I have a mk iv superb l&j. My subwoofer isnt in the left hand boot compartment.
  6. Many thanks for your very useful advice chaps, much appreciated.
  7. Today I replaced my 17 plate 190 Diesel L&K for a 2025 190 diesel L&K. On my old car I used to be able to use a button on the centre console to stop my car creeping forward without having to use the brake pedal. On my new car I do not seem to have a thecsame option. Does the newer car mot have this?
  8. Yes I have. That's why I don't understand it. The light only goes off when I lock the car.
  9. I have checked all the switches and as I don't have kids it's unlikely anyone has been tampering with them.
  10. When I turn on the ignition my rear passenger cabin light comes on and I cannot turn it off until I lock the car. Any suggestions as to the cause ( short circuit or something?).
  11. 190 BHp to 224 BHp 400 NM to 470 NM Remap by Superchips.
  12. Having previously used a DTUK tuning Box and Pedal Box on my 2017 Superb without any problem my car went into the dealer for a service and when it came back whenever I gave it a little hard throttle the car would go into limp mode and I would have to stop the car - switching off the ignition and back on seemed to clear the problem. However worried that the Tuning Box with the pedal box was causing an issue I removed them both and the car then ran to normal factory settings without further incident. I decided IK still needed to improve throttle response and give it a little more pep so as my car is out of warranty decided on a Stage 1 remap instead. I am not disappointed by the results as my car runs much more smoothly with and no lag when I put my foot down and smother through the gears which helps when pulling out of junctions or overtakes. Just to note I didn't get it re-mapped to go faster particularly because if I wanted something sporty I wouldn't have bought an estate car in the first place. It is simply more pleasurable to drive and much cheaper than buying a new car
  13. It seems incredulous that whilst ACC is fitted as standard to an L&K Superb it isn't when it comes to the Kodiaq - poor play Skoda.
  14. I am only 5'6" myself and can hardly be described as thin and I have a DSG and although my car does not have the 'Sports-line' bucket seats I do not find it a problem getting a comfy driving position.
  15. I don't think a Kodiak is any better than a Superb unless all you want to do is sit higher up and probably don't mind sacrificing a few mpg for the privilege.
  16. It's this I am trying to remove. It practically surrounds the whole battery.
  17. My old battery finally given up the ghost and I have bought a new battery and I cannot for the life of me remove the plastic cover from the top . Looked on internet and any videos showing battery replacement are for older models or different engines. So how exactly (pictures would help) do I take this cover off?
  18. I don't recall how it happened but one of the supporting struts to the wind -deflector snapped and I went to one Skoda Dealer having explained the problem and pictures quoted me the best part of £550 for parts and labour. I then phoned another dealer nearby who charged me £327. Funny how both quotes could be so different but it shows it's useful to shop around. I can now drive around with my Pano Sunroof open just in time for the rainy season :o)
  19. Murdockman, You may be correct in what you say but I am now cautiously optimistic. I had the battery on charge for a good 7 hours today. Put key into ignition all the usual lights came on and the car started! I will give it a further 5 hour charge tomorrow and if it goes well take the car for a run and see what happens. Thanks for you suggestions guys.
  20. Cheers Wino. The completely dead, never to be resurrected battery is also a horrible suspicion of mine. I've just forked out nearly £80 on a new motorbike battery so you think I would have learn't my lesson then.
  21. I have a 2008 Fabia Estate 1.9 TDI. It has been parked on my drive since most of lock-down. I tried getting in to start it and very little response. - a faint glow on the instrument panel Then car alarm sounded off - eventually this died off. I tried jump starting from my Superb but not even so much as an ignition light came on. I am currently trying to charge battery with a battery charger. I have left it charging for 3 hrs to hopefully allow some charge. Put key in ignition and turned it and absolutely nothing no whirring sound and not even so much as a faint light on my instrument panel. I tried using spare car key in case it was key fob battery but again absolutely dead no lights or noise of any kind. Any advice before I call out the recovery chaps?
  22. I have a Superb Estate 4X4 diesel, DSG . Nice to drive. Fuel economy around mid 40-s. I had a DTE Pedal Box fitted which got the rid of the lag and a DTE Power Box which also took it from 190 to 220 and my fuel economy is now 50 mpg plus without having to drive too conservatively.
