  1. Okay got home now, took wider route with higher speed. Reached 90 degrees and when parked the car went outside to see, no smoke came out this time. Coolant level was also fine, before driving checked, was bad to see because of the pipes but seemed like a bit over suggested level . But oh my when someone was behind me in the city and lights were showing, then the smoke amount that was came out was huge.

One of the primary causes for white smoke on diesels is a fuel injector issue - either an injector is faulty or the injector(s) timing is out. This leads to unburnt diesel getting into the exhaust system and coming out as white smoke. The timing can mean the cam belt.

    1) Was the belt changed recently and/or is it due? What mileage is on the engine?

    2) Is the car running roughly or smoothly?

    3) You say that when it is warmed up there is less smoke. Can you clarify that this means you are always getting some white smoke (that smells of fuel/raw diesel) and that it is is not just water vapour ?

Injectors would be my first guess.

    1) Good question, when... I bough this car ex. a year ago and turned 279k km  mileage.

    2) Car otherwise runs okay I guess, previously i told spark plugs, i ment glowing plugs. I have had issues that car throttles when starting, just takes ~10secs and goes smooth again, but loads of white smoke comes out

    3) Kind of smells like fuel, exhaust smell is still coming to the saloon.

  3. Hi,

Car is Superb 2.0 TDI. Seems like bellow 0 degrees my car takes forever to warm up, about 20 minutes drive to work and when i am at the parking spot then it kind of warms up. Also white smoke is coming out of the exhaust pipe, but when it's warmed up then there is less smoke. Could it be some injector problem? I thought it was spark plugs problem because previously i had problem that car took sometimes more than needed to start up, but now i am thinking the proble might be worse...

    Any ideas?

  4. Hi,

So i had problems with older LED bulbs, where drivers side was working correctly and passengers side was not that bright anymore. So yesterday i bought BA15S bulbs and they seem little bit longer (LED side, not socket side). I replaced them yesterday but since it was dark enough the DRL didn't start to work, so I had to wait untill the morning to see if they work. Today driving to work i found out that none of those two LEDs are not working. Might be that those bulbs are just not ment for it or what the issue might be? Bulbs i bought are in the attachment.

    Any help appreciated, thanks!

  5. Hi,

First of all since I think it is not related to real my car model then i will write my question down here, but car is Superb 2013. I bought off-site Navi-multimedia system. I didn't need much to wire since there were some kind of adapters that connect via original power source cable to the Navi system. The problem appears that the whole system will not turn off when keys are off from the ignition. Today after work i went to the car and the whole battery was drained out :( At the moment i put original swing radio back and works fine. I investigated a little and most problems seems that two wires are switched up. Firstly i have no idea how to switch them and secondly, i do not want to mess this thing up.

The navisystem i bought (pictures are with wires and back panel aswell): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2G-16G-android-6-0-car-dvd-gps-navigation-for-skoda-VW-volkswagen-amarok-beetle-bora/32804846065.html

  6. yeah, my usual trips per day are like 15km to work and same to home, over days extra 20 to grocery and that's it. So i went for a little "must have" trip to know if it might be the DPF. Drove ~40km and then the light turned on, that DPF light. After a while it dissapeared again. About 130km drove with S gear on the DSG and back 130km "Drive" normally. After i parked my car there was no white smoke or bad smell anymore. My white colored Superb is now black/brownish when you look it from behind :D Seems like it cleaned itself and my panic was just unnecessary. But hey, when you buy a used car and this happens and when you are reading everywhere what might be wrong then it is human thing to panic a little :) . But for my happiness, problem is solved for now. My wallet says thanks :)

  7. Hi all skoda users out here,

I bought 2 weeks ago 2013 skoda superb 2.0 103kw TDI with 261000km mileage. Two days now there is so much white smoke coming out of the exchaust pipe and saloon is full of that groce diesel smell (when car is waiting for green light or parking most of the times, when driving then no bad smell coming in). My first thought is that maybe DPF might be full, but at the same time there is no error shown in the dashboard. 2 weeks in and getting problems already :/ maybe some ideas what might be?
