  1. Is there anyone else out there experiencing the issue on the PHEV models? I have a the feeling that the dealer is going to say that this is just a characteristic of the vehicle
  2. Update: We got the car back last week after the new components, was told that there would be a period for adaption, roughly 200 miles. Almost straight away the problems started again. So the car is once again back at the the dealership. Test drive with the Technician and the faults were replicated. He's stated that the cars not safe to drive. It's being escalated with Skoda Technical in the UK they should come look at the car or it gets transported to them in Milton Keynes to figure out what the root cause is and rectify it if possible. The major component change hasn't resolved the issue. I've got a meeting with the service manager on Friday to see what the next steps are. I have lost confidence in the car.
  3. The cars milage is around 36k and far too early for this kind of issue I would say. Thankfully it's still in warranty. This is their chance to fix the issue. The communication has been very clear as to what the actual problem is and how its happened. Although if you look online for DSG problems it seems they are not uncommon.
  4. The car would unexpectedly drop into Neutral under braking at a junction or when parking, this would cause a dangerous lurch forward requiring immediate extra force onto the brake pedal. So for a while the car was back and fourth to the dealership. Although the 'fault' was present since we got the vehicle it was not so frequently occurring and difficult to replicate for the Technician. Eventually with persistence the Technician could eventually repeat the fault. This was December 2023. The vehicle has been at the garage now since early January 2024. The first diagnosis was a faulty mechatronic unit. This had to be ordered from the factory so some time passed until it was delivered. It was installed but this was not successful and the car brought up a gearbox error. I was then told a new gearbox was required! No real explanations as to why. So a further wait for a new gearbox to be made at the factory. As I write this today the DSG is being swapped out. (over two months and nearly three since the fault was recognised by the dealer).
  5. Skoda Mk3, iV, The car occasionally drops out of drive at slow speed just before a stop. Mostly at road junctions or when parking up. I can feel a shudder and I have to quickly apply more brake pedal as the car lurches without the gear engaged. It doesn't happen all of the time. It has been to the dealer but the Technician cannot replicate the problem I am told. I've read up on known problems with the DSG but nothing definitive. The dealership hasn't been too help up until now and I have asked for the issue to be escalated to the Service Manager. My biggest concern is going into the back of someone or running someone over.
  6. I recently had a similar issue but the actuator on mine was not extending fully and it was sticking. The car has been back to the dealer and they have changed it under warranty. Thankfully I'm still in that period but it does seem to be a common issue. With the charging port being up at the front grill of the car I'm guessing the exposure to all the road grit and grime works its way into the unit? It is definitely too soon for it to fail.
  7. The issue happened if it was hot or cold. It went to the dealer and they have changed the actuator out under warranty. It was sticking during opperation
  8. The charge flap actuator is sticking in the closed position making it difficult to open the charge flap. The car is still under warranty and will be taken to the dealership for a fix. Just wondered if anyone nows the part number so that I can do a bit of research on it. Has anyone else experienced similar trouble.
  9. So we got the car late last year from a Pullman Skoda it was ex-demo and we got two services as a package. It went for the first in February at the same dealer and yes the oil was changed. They do provide a cost breakdown but not specifics on the exact quantities. Only that it was full. While I was sat at the cafe next to the service desk I overheard someone drop their car in for exactly the same issue (not sure which model). He was given the same response I was, maybe its software! Now this seems to be a standard answer nowadays for an easy get out. When I went to pick up the car I was tight for time so I just needed to get on my way. There wasn't anything near an apology for the inconvenience but it something I will follow up with the Garage. 10. It was the main dealer and they did the service. They didn't charge me today for it. The main inconvenience was dropping it off in the morning and having to go back and pick it up in the afternoon as there was no courtesy car to offer until the 19th April. The overfill should not have happened. At least I have the paper trail now just incase something else comes up.
  11. Got the car back today from the garage. They stated that it had been overfilled at the last service. They dropped the oil level and so far so good. They couldn't answer my question about when the oil temperature should start to display a reading. Only maybe 52Deg and above.
  12. Skoda Superb Mk III, iV, Yesterday got a warning 'please reduce oil level visit workshop'. Recently serviced in February. AA attended and dropped some oil from the sump and cleared the warning. This morning after driving for 30-40 mins the same warning has appeared. Booked the car into the local dealer tomorrow for a check. The other thing I noticed is that the oil temperature reading does not always display. So from the brief research I have done the sensor for oil level and temperature is combined? It seems to indicate to me that there is an obvious fault with the sensor. Does anyone know at what temperature the display should start indicating? Also anyone with similar issues?
  13. I don’t think I’ve explained what I mean very well. What I’m saying is that the buckle that is behind the driver which is single does not latch. i.e. its broken. I’ve phoned Skoda to source a replacement as I couldn’t find an available part number or replacement online.
