  1. Apologies no doubt discussed many times, my fabia is 65 plate 1.2tsi with only 28,000 miles on clock. Decision time should I look to change belt or not. When have other users changed there's. If so don't plan on using a skoda garage and will look for quotes from local garages, what price roughly are we looking at. Thanks for any replies.
  2. Ok looks like its became unavailable for whatever reason, will prob get the battery checked out as I dont think it is any off the other reasons.
  3. It's a manual gearbox, when I stop, the circle with the A and a line through it appears on the screen as it always done, however now the engine keeps running and never cuts out now. Not sure what you mean by Finally check the dongle on the battery -VE post, is its cable plugged into it?
  4. Hi all, Can anyone help regarding what the potential problem could be regarding my engine still runs when I come to a stop. This has just started to do this recently on my Fabia 1.2 tsi 2015 plate only 23,000 miles on the clock. The little asteric display comes on in the screen as if it's working however the engine keeps running? Thanks for any replies.
  5. I took out the one under the bonnet The fault returned the next day and I took it into my local skoda garage who said it was a faulty wiper switch and replaced under the warranty.
  6. An update I took out the wiper fuse for a couple of days rather than the wiper being on all the time when I put it back in , the wipers are back to working normally?. The fault must have cleared itself!
  7. Hi everyone, I have fabia 2015 plate the windscreen wipers still come on when switched off, they still come on intermittently every 10 seconds and in the intermitent posisition they are on continiously no matter the setting. It is going into my local skoda dealer but not for another 10 days. I took the fuse panel off under the steering wheel with the intention of removing the fuse and putting it back in only when required for the time being ( no 22 on the diagram) however the wipers still remain on. Any reason why this still happens, I can remove the fuse under bonnet but obviously not as convenient. Thanks for any replies and help.
  8. Put my fabia in for its 2nd service yesterday into local skoda garage, last year they recommended i changed my wipers (twice a year they recommend) after my 1st service. Got a mechanic i know to check them he said they were fine. So before i put it in for its 2nd service i bought new ones . Guess what they said i needed a new rear windscreen wiper!! The wiper i bought was off ebay but its a bosch make brand new delivered in the box. So whats going on was it a 2nd hand dodgy wiper put in the box or are the skoda garage at it!. The wiper looks brand new and good to me.
  9. Thanks everyone for all your help and comments, yes damo seems as if you buy a single wiper it shows different types of fittings but the set just shows the push button type. Have managed to get a set from carpartsforless with discount code for just less than £17 although a seller on ebay is selling the same model for £14 but says they are not suitable for my car!
  10. Thanks peter its strange because when i put my reg plate into any ebay sellers it comes back as not suitable also i have had a direct reply from sellers saying they are not suitable for my car, but when you go into eurocarparts website for example this is the model it recommends. I assume the actual fitting part is the same on this model ie the square button you press in !
  11. HI everyone i am looking to buy new front wiper blades for my fabia 1.2 tsi 65 plate. Looking at bosch model A556S as it comes up on some websites as suitable for my car, however on other websites such as on eBay where I can buy them cheaper this model comes up as unsuitable! It is the fitting where you press the small square button and slide the wiper off. It doesn't have to be Bosch I suppose but mistified as to the conflicting information. Anyone help here or suggest a model that I'd definitely ok for my car.
