Exhaust Inspection Warning Light
All fixed. Apparently it was the glow plug giving the faults. Replaced and back on the road.

Exhaust Inspection Warning Light
Any idea what they mean? I have filled it every time the car informs me it's required.

Exhaust Inspection Warning Light
It is booked in now. They can't get me in until 15th though, good job I'm not having to do much travelling. Will see what they have to say once they hook it up!

Exhaust Inspection Warning Light
Not particularly worried about the glow plug, more so the EGR - that said, they may put that down to wear & tear too.

Exhaust Inspection Warning Light
2016 Yeti 2.0 Diesel 4x4 63k Without warning, my exhaust inspection warning light came on yesterday. Amber warning and no loss of power (yet). RAC have been out and done a diagnostic which has shown an EGR & glow plug fault - I'm waiting for the email with confirmed codes. I have an all component extended warranty with Skoda - does anyone have experience whether they will repair / replace EGR & glow plugs under the warranty please?

Stuck in gear
Hi folks, daughters 2008 Fabia 1.4 diesel has a major problem. Seemed to have clutch problems and was recovered to home. On arrival recovery driver attempted to pop the car on the drive. Ended up stuck in 1st with no movement when raising the clutch. Now stuck on the drive and can't go forward or back. Any ideas on how to disengage so we can get it off the drive please?

All seasons - Yes or No?
I hope so! Reviews look good and they were a sensible price.

All seasons - Yes or No?
Took me a little while to get there but finally sorted this morning with 4 x Vredestein Quatrac Pro purchased on Black Circles and fitted at ATS. Thanks for the information all. Looks like I timed it right to buy them too. They have gone up almost £23 each now!

All seasons - Yes or No?
Oh absolutely, will either go for two Efficient Grips or 4 all seasons My wife's Audi has Y rated too

Another steering problem - Groan!
By way of update, looks like it was a problem with one of the connectors.

All seasons - Yes or No?
Very true! Thanks for the reassurance.

All seasons - Yes or No?
I know it has. I agree about maximum speed of the vehicle but I'm a terrible worry about following the rules / doing the right thing 🙄 It is one of those things where there is such a variation in advice including that of professionals. Appreciate your help. Out of interest what tyres do you run? I do like my alloys though 😁

All seasons - Yes or No?
Well spotted, thanks

All seasons - Yes or No?
Thanks for your thoughts. Sadly, it comes back to this speed rating issue. Pretty sure the Vectors are only available as a V and not a W. Nightmare.

All seasons - Yes or No?
Thanks, I tend to end up as the driver when the weather is bad ferrying the rest of the family so grip is certainly good!

All seasons - Yes or No?
My 2016 2.0 diesel L&K 4x4 is coming close to needing a couple of tyres. Currently running Goodyear Efficient Grips which have been pretty good to be fair. I travel on a good mix of roads, including some gravel tracks and we do get a bit of snow here. Also tow a caravan all year round. I've been mulling over a change to all seasons and I know the best advice is to have them all round. Seems everyone loves Michelin Cross Climates but W rated ones are rather costly! Local dealer did suggest I could drop to V rated, but I'm not sure that is correct. Anyone know for certain? Not looking to change wheels to accommodate Winters so come on folks what do I do? Stick with the Goodyears or any suggestions for 225/50/17 W all seasons much appreciated. I confess I'm struggling to make a decision 🙄

Booked in to a local VAG specialist. Let's see what he reckons 🙂

Many thanks, any idea on labour time for this?

That's what I needed to hear, thanks 👍

Another steering problem - Groan!
Not been able to look at the car until today. I thought it would be straightforward to remove the battery and tray. Didn't realise there are connections running off the top and down the front of the battery. How do I remove those so I can get the tray out? Thanks

Another steering problem - Groan!
Hmm, not sure they checked the fluid. Reckon I'll get the spanners out myself and have a look. The battery has been a bit flaky too, thanks for the heads up 👍😁

Another steering problem - Groan!
I know there are loads of threads about steering issues on here so forgive me. Daughter's 2008 Fabia 1.4 Diesel has the power steering warning light come on after driving for a short while. No loss of power steering and if you switch off, light clears for a while and then around we go again. Been in the garage today and they have found Codes: 00816 - Power steering sensor open circuit/short - intermittent 01317 - Control module in instrument cluster no communication - intermittent They are suggesting to live with it for now but that the pump may be on it's way out. New pump supplied and fitted £432. Any advice folks? Thanks
