I bought my Octavia RS new in July 2021. Have to say, not impressed either and this was my 4th Škoda. I too had the adaptive cruise control bug along with terrible vibration in the dash, issues with led matrix head lights, excessive noise from the boot and although it’s got decent acceleration, it was a bit dull to drive. I also had issues with infotainment system freezing, apple car play issues where music would pause or be slow to play and issues with system saying batteries in both keys needed replacing after they were already replaced. I had enough with the issues and sold it to a main dealer in March this year. My 2019 Superb Sportline was a great car. After years with Skoda, moving to the Kia EV6. Kia and Hyundai leaving the Japanese and Germans behind in build quality.

Hey. Thanks for reply. I traced the fault to a small leak and electrics got damp. Thankfully no damage done. Really appreciate your post. Still might be a good idea to upgrade to an aftermarket option.

Hi everyone. I’m thinking about buying a new Skoda Supeb Sportline in the next 12-18 months. I’m looking at the 150bhp 2.0 diesel DSG due to issue with my hip and knee. I really like the look of the 19 inch upgraded alloys but I’m worried that alloys this size coupled with the sports suspension will make the ride too firm. Has as anyone has any experience with this spec? My monthly budget won’t stretch to include dynamic chassis control which would obviously help with comfort. Curious us to see what people think of this spec or if anyone else would recommend a different spec with different size alloys. The DSG in whatever spec is a must for me. Thanks in in advance for any advice.

Hi. All if a a sudden I’m having issues with my stereo in my 2007 Skoda Octavia 1.4 Petrol. This morning it would not turn on. However a couple of mins later it came on for 10 seconds before turning off again. It’s just keeps going on and off. The lights on the buttons keep going on and off too as off power coming through to unit is intermittent. Anyone else have this issue and know the cause? Thanks in advance for any advice. Sean.
