  1. Did you read the rest of the thread? I confronted the trader and got all of my money back. That was 4 years ago. Back then, when I spoke to the trader, they were going to put it back up for sale, but tell any prospective buyer that the mileage was not genuine, as it had been clocked back 100,000 miles. Fast-forward a few years later, and I see the car's MOT history shows it on nearly 87k miles. So in reality that's 187,000 miles. It looks like it was last sold on in November, and I'm guessing not all the vendors were honest about the mileage! I wasn't going to mention the reg of the car, but given the possibility for someone to be sold a clocked car without their knowledge, I will do so now. DP64GDZ or DP64 GDZ I'm really sorry if you're reading this having bought the car - I know how it feels to find out you've been sold a clocked car! Hopefully this information might help someone avoid being mis-sold a car with higher mileage than advertised.
  2. Nope, it was a small company down in Coventry
  3. While I was investigating a coolant leak under my 2015 O3 vRS TDI - I took a snap of the device that hides under the plastic cover towards the front of the car. See attached. I believe this is the soundaktor.
  4. Did you check that on the Skoda portal? It will tell you there's no new firmware, but there is a new version available 'unofficially'. If you search for "Amundsen MIB 1 firmware" in this forum you'll find the thread. Ask there and you will receive Another thing you can do if hold down the infotainment power button for about 10 seconds - this will force a complete reset. don't worry, you won't lose any settings.
  5. I had a towbar fitted recently and, as part of that the radio /media unit had to come out to access the fuse box. Mine's an Amundsen (2015MY) and the box is in the top of the glovebox (has a CD slot and 2 x SD card slots). While it was out I noticed it had a bunch of Bluetooth logos on it, so that's where the BT stuff is, in the main box of gubbins in the glovebox area. Not sure anything will be user servicable in there. Have you ever updated the firmware on the Amundsen? Might be worth a try.
  6. No problems here with Blackcircles - I get all my tyres from them. Sometimes I get them delivered and then I sort fitting myself, as our local 'approved' garage are a bit surly sometimes and I can't be arsed going there. I suspect most of the reviews are down to the individual fitters, not BC themselves.
  7. I've got the anthracite Geminis on my black vRS, which I like, but I also really like those ones too. A nice bit o' shiny
  8. Sounds like a trip to the dealer and fix-it-under-warranty thing to me. Could be a sensor, or pretty much anything!
  9. Thanks for the offer, I think I want to go with a space saver though as I don't want the boot floor sticking up too much. I will have a mooch around the bay of E
  10. Well in the end I got the fitter from PF Jones to do it. Nice job and I'm loving the way the Westfalia detachable just disappears entirely, including the electric socket which just folds up under the car. You even get a little bag to put the tow ball into and some gloves Bad news was it cost an eye-watering £650 to get it done with the proper electrics kit and coding the car with the proper Westfalia stuff. But it does have a 5 year warranty and it's a proper quality bit of kit! If anyone wants me I'll be in the corner comforting my aching wallet
  11. What did you go for in the end, tyre/wheel wise, and did you get one of the tool kits from eBay?
