  1. So turns out that you guys have cracked it, the reverse lights are not working either.

    Will call the dealers tomorrow.

While thats invariably linked to the cameras not working, I defo dont have the dash button that it seems i should have!!!

  2. Hi All, I have a 2018 2.0TDi 4x4 manual.  As part of the factory order I added a reverse camera, and up until the other day it was working fine.  Its now not activating when i go into reverse and I have no idea where to look to activate it.  I have looked in the manual and I dont have the dash button that it indicates should be there, I also looked in the infotainment options and cannot find anything.

Anyone have any ideas or is it a trip to the dealers?

    Thanks

  3. I am not sure how it came so fast, it had additional spec to be added so its not just a standard order (heated screen & washers and Rear Camera).  The guy at the dealer said that he thought they had managed to get this one so I dont know if it was a build car that had my Spec but the order had been cancelled.

Will now sit in the dealer offsite storage yard for a couple of months!!

  4. Hi All, ordered the car on 2nd Feb for a late may early June pick up.  Order tracker showed yesterday that was still awaiting a build slot so called the dealer.  Apparently the car is in transit from the factory and should arrive with them in around 3 weeks.  Not sure how they managed this when they were aiming for mid may!!!

Problem remains that company car does not go back until June!!

  5. Use Car Wow I have a deal with them that was 14.7% discount this does include the 2k deposit contribution from Skoda though.

Remember you are getting 2k deposit contribution the fuel card and 2 services as long as you take PCP finance.

All car dealers have quarterly deals and incentives, the ones in Q1 generally seem to be quite generous I assume because start of year may be quiter than rest of the year.

The Q2 incentoves will most likely not be available or publicised until April as this current deal expires on March 31st, the fuel card is a pre pay master card as well and you can spend anywhere.

  6. So this is where my stupid questions come in, what are the details that I would need to know to ensure that either aftermarket alloys or Skoda/VW alloys will fit my Kodiaq, other than finding a set of alloys from the Kodiaq accessory brochure of course?  Ive seen posts with fitting numbers and its all a foreign langage at the moment

    I have an edition 2L 150 TDI 4x4

What Info do I actually need to ensure correct fitting, also I noted the tyre size from the Kodiaq Accessories brochure for the tyres on the 17's as well.

  7. Hi Guys

Trying to plan ahead for the bear arriving (all be it for winter 18 driving), its seems to be best practice to go down to 17 inch wheels for the kodiaq as this gives access to a wider range of winter tyres than at the 19 inch size.

Question becomes though Steelies or Alloys for that spare set,

Does anyone have experience of both and what would they recommend?

  8. I went for the Edition, I worked out that for the difference in monthly price between the SEL with my options added and the edition was less than 20 quid, however the edition came with additional kit that would have cost me 55pm to add to the SEL trim, so for the less than 20 quid it was worth just going to the Edition.

I am replacing a company car (Mazda CX5 Sport Nav) so was looking for similar spec for roughly the same price and I have managed that.

  9. It does seem to be common sense I agree, for someone who has never used winter tyres it can be a confusing thing to look at.  Next thing I will need to look into is the whole going down sizes on wheels and tyres from 19 to something smaller!!.  I know though that there are a few threads that should be able to assist on this one as well.

Now i have told you a million times, do not exaggerate!

Scotland or parts of it might well be below 7*oC much of the year, but that does not make it some polar hell.

Plenty 2 wd cars, even Motorbikes get around in the weeks where the average temp is 0*oC for 7 days.

Like 4 weeks this winter in PH20, DD8 post codes this year.

Even little old ladies or gentlemen in a VW Polo / Kia Picanto / Nissan Leaf can get around if snow gates are not closed and are not slip sliding off the roads or into kerbs like many in big heavy AWD's on the wrong tyres, or just the tyres fitted and the vehicle not driven to the conditions.

Lol dont disagree there, I am just thinking safety, the kodiaq for me is a family car for hauling the kids around, my thinking on winter tyres is more just for that added level of safety, rather than turning into a polar explorer.  I never have any intent of taking it offroad or out when the conditions do on the odd occasion turn nasty, Im going on if I use winters for the 6 months it saves wear on the summers.
