  1. Ah, excellent. Just a flip back makes sense. Thanks. I’ll take a look tomorrow.
  2. It's a bloomin' nightmare, George... Good luck with your search.
  3. Am I getting this wrong? It looks like a different gap in the original poster’s document...
  4. Yep, my problem is that the join/gap identified in the original instructions doesn't appear to be present on my wife's car.
  5. I was going to apply the cure, but the sunroof on my wife's 62reg Yeti looks different. See pic. What am I getting wrong? Thanks.
  6. Don't worry. I'm a biker myself and it's not been driven since the leak was discovered. My partner has called Gem Assist today so the issue should be resolved soon... I'll let you know the result. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  7. Felt all round the housing and no sign of diesel. Any other thoughts? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  8. Ah, brilliant. Thanks. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  9. My partner's Yeti (60reg 2 litre diesel 4x4) has started leaking diesel into the driveway just inboard of the nearside front wheel. For the past month or so, she's been experiencing an intermittent hesitation from the engine when driving. Any ideas as to possible source? Is the fuel pump a likely culprit? Thanks in advance for any advice [emoji106] Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  10. The lights which illuminates the speedo needle on my Yeti flickers on and off, sometimes staying off for a few seconds. I guess it must be a dodgy connection. Do I have to remove the entire dashboard to investigate? Thanks. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the offers/advice guys. Very much appreciated - especially the "how to" by KBPhoto. Going the MFSW route seems too involved, to be honest. I'll probably stick with the standard leather wheel swap - it's just the hard plastic on the standard one I don't like.
  12. Thanks very much mate. That's kind of you. I'm in Peterborough, sadly.
  13. Ah. Might be starting to get a tad beyond my comfort zone
  14. That's great info! Thanks very much indeed. As far as the MFSW goes, I'd assumed the functionality wouldn't be built into whatever control box controls everything Is that wrong?
  15. Just bought a 60-reg Yeti 110 4x4 in S spec. Don't much like the hard plastic steering wheel, so I'm thinking about buying one of these and swapping it over: http://www.skodaparts.com/product/yeti-leather-steering-wheel-2010-2013-38285 Anyone already done this, or have a better solution? Cheers.
  16. I also haven't been impressed. I bought my Octavia VRS from them, have always had it serviced by them yet when I had excess brake pedal travel yesterday, they said they couldn't look at it until next week! I asked if the car was safe to drive and they said they couldn't say. So I'm supposed to do without a car until next week or risk potential problems with braking. Is that reasonable service to a longstanding customer? Not in my book.
  17. Yep, I guess buying genuine is the only way to be sure. Ouch!
  18. Hi I'm replacing the rear shoes on my son's Fabia (W reg 1,4 Classic) and the pattern shoe is different from the original. It's bent outwards at a lower point, meaning it's fine for the handbrake cable connection at the bottom, but not for securing the top bar (whatever it's called - has two springs on it and the V-shaped auto-adjuster). As a result, the top bar will slot on easily, but also falls off easily! The crossbar doesn't stay in place like it does on the original shoe because the space between the handbrake bar and the shoe is not wide enough. Anyone had a similar problem and overcome it? I know I should have bought original parts... Cheers
  19. Before I call the dealer, I wondered if anyone has got views on this. Although my Octavia II VRS was on variable servicing, the service indicator came up at almost 10,000. The dealer, without asking me, has now put it on the 10,000 mile schedule. I'm not so bothered about that, but I am bothered that the oil they've put in is called Synta SJ 100. Never heard of it. I use my VRS in, er, spirited fashion most of the time and don't like the idea of a cheapo oil swirling around my finely honed metal bits... Any views on this oil?
  20. Many thanks for the reassurances Jonno and Aspman. I'll keep an eye on it, but all is probably well as you say. Malc
  21. Cheers mate. I'll double check that when I top it up.
  22. When topping up my oil and screen wash today, I noticed that my coolant level was around a centimetre below the minimum line. The car is eleven months old and has only covered 7500 miles. I took it to Wings of Peterborough to buy some G12+ and asked the guy on parts if it was normal. He disappeared into the back and came back with the answer, "He can't say it is definitely a problem. Perhaps it was low when it was PDI'd and not picked up." I then pointed out that I had bought the car from them... The response was to top it up and keep an eye on it. Hmmm. What do you think, chaps? Anyone had the same issue? There are no puddles under the car, by the way. Thanks
  23. If you want to look even more inconspicuous than the vRS allows normally, go for black. In my opinion, it looks a tad boring. It is also shows the dirt more. Race blue is a superb colour and gets admiring comments from passers by - especially when it's in the sun. Which, in the UK, happens about twice a year... By the way, it's a great car. Malc
