  1. Tried to to a injector adaption last night in vagcom, pressed brake and accelerator down like it wanted and glow light blinked and all i got for over 25 mins was rough idle, it didnt rev up like i was told. Gave up in the end stupid car 😭

Im really stuck now cause ive literally had the car 4 weeks with mot due, it needed 2 track rod ends and had a leaky rack, all that came to £486 week later this injector issue, cant sell it cause of this problem. Maybe i could get the nox update done then they might be under warranty then. After that have it reversed and mapped, im just sick of spending on it, paid 3300 and now 485, and who knows for injector fitted n coded.

Hi my 1.6tdi cayc fabia from when i bought it had a slight knocking when in 2nd gear labouring, i was told to book in with a vagcom specialist and ask for a injector deviation adaption that i did. As he was doing the adaption he said and showed me that my injector 1 reading was way out. But on driving away the clanking is 10 times worse after this process. Why would this happen, it was quite livable before but i dernt drive it now. Noticed this morning in cold start it was well rough. The car is due a nox recall aswell but I've not had it done yet. Ive bought a good injector with the same part number ready to be coded in, but knowing my really bad luck with this car it wont make any difference. Just last week it cost me £486 for the mot. Needed steering rack and other bits, gutted and really fed up☹️

  7. After spending 20 mins at the dealer he measured the paint and took snaps of the car and stamped up service history. He said its very very hard to get them to honour stuff anymore but it looking like the rubber gasket between the reg plate light has had trapped moisture causing it to rot from the inside. His, my case has to go to skoda uk but also might have to be stripped down for a better look. He said it would probably be a full new boot lid.

  10. Yes ive just bought the car and its got 205 50 17s fitted, rides very smooth but speedo is out very slightly, a bonus is its not kerbable very much now cause my red one with the 40s on were awful

Ive just bought a 2011 fabia monte carlo 1.6 tdi same engine as yours, luckly i rung skoda and they said mine had never had the recall done and she also said not to bother, apparently it make the mpg rubbish, it regens a lot more, rubbish really but as for remaps im wondering about a egr/dpf delete and a remap for sure
  14. Hi ive just bought a 2011 monte carlo and took the rear reg number off to change my plate over and noticed rust starting, its near the reg plate light and all around where the plate screws on. Anyone else had this
  15. This new spare is a genuine skoda key that I presume is the one the car came with back in 2010
  16. I've got a 2010 fabia and I'm having trouble turning the ignition key , I've also tried the brand new spare and it's still the same . After I take the key out it clunky as though a steering lock locater has popped ready to lock the wheel , it's not turning because of this , anyone else had this problem. I nearly got stuck in town last night

Hi I've got a 2010 fabia 1.2 http and my normal key I use seems to be getting a bit notchyin the ignition barrel and tonight we nearly got stuck in town due the key not turning ,, I thought I'd get home and try the spare key that I've never used in the 70k miles the car has done , it opens the car but when I start her up it cuts out and the immobilser light comes up on the dash , the key is genuine and should work , can these be reset? As this turns in the lock much better
  18. hi ive fitted a vw rcd510 dab into my 2010 fabia and it works fine but it wont turn on and off with the ignition , on vagcom its not detecting node 56 so im guessing thats the problem , i can either turn it on and off maually and live with it or buy a canbus simulater but have no idea at all what to look for , can someone find some links that will sort my radio out for the best options , my rcd510 is out of a 2011 golf. my fabia only had the dance aswell
  19. dragging an old post up but ive just fitted the same and ive lost my ignition function for some reason , ive got a fabia mk2 2010 and ive swapped a dance cd player for a vw 510rcd
  20. hi just bought this car and it has a months warranty on the engine and box , problem is it rattles on cold start ups for about 2 or 3 seconds , my model is the 3 cylinder engine 70bhp , does anyone get this at all as ive read someone said its normal on these for a few seconds due to an oil build up in the tentioner , my car has a full service history and has only 65k on the clock
  21. hi ive fitted a vw rcd510 dab to my 10 plate fabia mk2 and ive noticed that it doesnt come on or go off with the ignition key for some reason , is these a quick fix for this please
  22. My one way valve was broken .I took the grommet out but no plastic bit inside. No idea what's happened to it . Made a temp repair to stop the smell .just converted a pipe from the grommet to the air box, no one way valve though .until I get a new one .
  23. my fabia got a work out last night as i was late for somewhere and ever since ive had fumes in the car , my wife took the car to work today and noticed it , im yet to check if its this valve on her car , our is a 2013 fabia 1.2 tsi monte carlo , ill check it tonight , it must be cause i pushed it through the gears
  24. All I know is he could press the new one in and couldn't the old one . I'm just going to run it and see .this carboned up pick up pipe might help
