  1. Expensive classic plates which are worth several times the value of the car they are on, get the nod of approval from me. None of this dodgy spaced, naff plates which just try too hard to say or spell something. Worse when these dodgy plates are on an expensive car. If you can afford the expensive car, just get a decent plate.
  2. 2018 Karoq 1.5 petrol - recently started to notice a clonk when changing gears, particularly in first 3 gears. Clonk noise seems to be coming from drivers side. Anyone experienced similar? Car is on 15k miles. Not contacted dealer yet.
  3. Had my 1.5 manual since June and although I can’t say that I haven’t experienced the odd kangaroo, it’s certainly a rare occurrence now and I just put it down to me being a bit quick off the clutch. I think I’ve learned to avoid it now. I’m more concerned with the mpg which is quite disappointing and way off the official figures. Perhaps it will get better with miles but I’m already at 7000 miles and struggle to get 40mpg even when driving at a steady 60-65mph on A roads.
  4. Ordered from Aliexpress. See below link. Believe they are actually std on cars sold in China. Very easy to put on - just take a moment to get them lined up properly. http://s.aliexpress.com/rQrMBRZf
  5. Does anyone else have a next door neighbour that’s copied you?
  6. Hey, I once changed my car before (without telling the wife) for an almost identical model (it was a Volvo S40 at the time), same colour etc but it had a bigger engine, slightly different alloys and a 6th gear. It took my wife 2 weeks to realise it was a different car - in fact, it was my 8 year old son who clicked when he asked his mum if I had bought new car mats
  7. Private plates aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but it wasn’t expensive and actually my son’s initial in front. Had it for a while now (previous birthday present for him) and decided it was time for it to go on a car since he doesn’t have his own car yet. I’ve a bit of a matching set of those ones. Not so sure that HE thinks it’s cool to have his name on the front and back of a Skoda though
  8. Can get them here in approx 10 days. http://s.aliexpress.com/rQrMBRZf
  9. Ah, but does it have wing badges
  10. Only collected my car yesterday and went on a 100 mile country run. Sat nav only used to see if it worked and couldn’t fault it to be honest. It actually found me a quicker route home than I would normally take. Having said that, I still believe in Road Atlas’s as I hate driving “blind”. Nav just for finding an address in a strange town / city.

What spec did you go for and any extras? I had to wait 8 months for my previous VW Golf. It was a frustrating wait so I know how you feel. The excitement of getting the new car evaporated as time wore on but once it arrived and the car exceeded my expectations, the long wait was soon forgotten. Hang in there, the Karoq is a great car. I collected mine yesterday and I’m well impressed.
  12. Very nice and virtually identical to mine that I collected yesterday however, you’ve the other wheels. Must say, I’m really pleased with the colour and how it seems to change depending on the light hitting it.
  13. Well this is first sighting of mine, collected yesterday. Absolutely delighted with the car and the service from the dealership in Aberdeen. 1.5tsi SEL manual, with some factory extras. Ordered on 17th March and ready for collection on 7th June, 2 weeks ahead of original delivery date. Petrol Blue really shines when in the sun and seems to change colour depending on the light. Makes a nice change from the greys and silvers I have been driving for the past few years, although I still have a grey car too.
  14. Will catch first sighting of my Petrol Blue SEL tomorrow when I collect it in Aberdeen. Quite looking forward to it (being an understatement) and weather looks good for a run around too.

Probably best to ask the dealer. However, if you have signed the documents, paid the all important deposit, have your insurance sorted AND the dealer is aware you wish to collect on the 15th, then all should be fine. Not much longer to wait and good luck with the car.
