  1. In my two previous cars, Octavia VRS saloon and Octavia VRS estate, I had a really strange event where the Car Play always lost connection as I approached the M6 Toll from the north. After about a mile into the M6 Toll, connection was automatically re-established. With the first car, I just put in down to a purely connection issue, but on subsequent trips in always lost connection at that spot. When I got the estate and the same thing happened, I thought that something weird was happening at that location. Now with my current Kodiaq I haven't been down that way as yet, but cant wait to see if the same thing happens again.
  2. I set Auto Hold to 'ON' in the vehicle braking section of the infotainment screen. All is fine for two or three days, then the next time I start the car the Auto Hold setting is disabled. I then have to go into the settings again and re enable it. What is that all about?
  3. I have it set to the maximum distance, it is far too sensitive.
  4. Same here, flashed up many times but luckily not hit the brakes. One aspect I really hate is when passing a junction where a car is waiting to turn out onto the main road, it flashes up then. I just hate it with a vengeance, it frightens everyone in the car to death.
  5. The reason I ask is on ACC, the slowing down starts much sooner and at motorway speeds, muck harsher than you would tend to do driving normally. I have found cars behind think I’m brake testing them!
  6. Just a question, when the car slows down on ACC, do the brake lights come on?
  7. I couldn’t agree more. I do exactly the same thing. I have travel assist switched off and use ACC which slows the car down when catching the car in front even in traffic then automatically speeds up again when the car in front sets off again. Remember also that the slowing down is provided by the rear brakes.
  8. Thanks for the info dembala
  9. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
  10. I have had a few issues with Car Play losing the connection to my IPhone. This happens randomly while in the the middle of a journey. I have tried various ways of re-connecting but the only way that works is to get switch off the car, get out and lock it. When i get back in, Car play connects immediately on switching on the ignition. Anybody else had this issue ?
  11. It’s also on the infotainment screen here
  12. Thanks Lee, Yes it is shown in virtual cockpit but only when you turn off the ignition and it shows for a few seconds. You are correct about the Skoda Connect App, you have to tap Inspect at the bottom of the page then Car Details and it’s half way down in the list. Strangely not in Driving Data where trip distances are shown. Thanks for the heads up, Ian
  13. Am I right in saying that the only place you can see the recorded total mileage is in the display when you switch the car off?
