I agree the market is crazy. On flip side second hand market is also nuts. Iv seen year old cars for sale at the price of new ones. Trade in price also happy with. Make up the price increase on the car

As stated before I am getting what maybe is a cancellation order next week. Ordered last week. Sportline 7 seats English spec and yes for a stupid amount of money over English prices.vrt in Ireland is mental. I had a good few cars to pick from. Now don't shoot me but rather then waiting for 8 or 9 months for that extra you may never use would you not see if you can do what I did. Pick as close to the spec you ordered and have it sooner. Given I change cars every two years so not to worried about extras. Also given before brexit I got my cars from UK . I think thay are a good car and the spec as standerd is good. Why torture yourself waiting

I can get them for 800 euro delivered. Is there much to fitting them. As said above garage wants 1600 fitted. I'm handy enough

Ye Ireland. Car should be here in the next week or so. Told garage I'd leave it way to steep. There handy for the kids but not at that price. To be fair he wasn't pushing them. Also towbar a grand he also said unless I really need one don't bother. Like when they don't upsell

Just had a look there. The last few years there is about 2000 more new skoda cars sold in Ireland then in the UK. Ireland is a bigger market for them. Might explain why we're getting cars quicker and spare ones. Just a thought might be nothing to do with it. That's just the south of Ireland with 5 million people over the UK population.

Haven't moved here but we pay about 10k more then UK for less spec. I had to pay 2k for 20in and vir cockpit

Maybe in the UK. Haven't moved in Ireland since the face-lift came in. Maybe your getting the new one at the old model price. If that's the case I'd be happy waiting

Puts about ten grand onto a 40 grand car if not more. Hence why a lot of people used to bring them into Ireland from the UK before you left the union. Now its cheaper to buy here then to bring one in from UK. Just part of living in Ireland we always paid a lot more for cars. Fuel is cheaper though not by much

Rang every garage around. Most have new stock coming in next few weeks. I had the pick of maybe 20. Most style but I wanted sportline. Got a steal gray with 20in and vir cockpit both extras in Ireland. Waiting on price for runner and towbar and few other bits. But had choice of black red etc. Worth calling around the garages lads. I only started looking 3 days ago.
