  1. It's more the DPF than EGR being a problem, these motors don't enjoy just tootling around town on shopping/school runs and when they clog it's not a simple fix + the cost can be eye watering. (been there, swmbo was doing this with very few sightings of 2000rpm until it was too late to save.) Keeping them clear however normally just involves regular 30+ miles run at 70mph/4th gear to keep the revs high enough for long enough. There are some helpful threads on subject if you search for DPF.
  2. The 282s on mine are PR code - 1KJ If yours ar also 1KJ the TRW numbers are; N/S rear BHS324 ( 1K0 615 423 ) O/S rear BHS325 ( 1K0 615 424 ) The little question mark shaped brake pipes for these are N/S 1K0 611 763 (Febi 172799) O/S 1K0 611 764 (Febi 172798)
