  1. Thanks, This helped and it’s now working. The bit I was missing was even though WiFi on car was enabled the phone wasn’t picking up the car’s WiFi connection point. Once I actively made phone connect to the car WiFi (the Bluetooth was already connecting automatically) it all started working properly again.
  2. My Apple CarPlay wireless (not using the usb cable) did work but has now stopped working. The Skoda Superb iV was brand new in November 2021. Others in this thread seem to have had issues with Skoda factory possibly not fitting the chips or not correctly enabling the software but as mine did work and has now stopped working I cant tell if it is an iPhone 13 Pro Max settings issue or a setting on the car. Could a car setting have been changed by a background, over the air software update whilst it has been sat on my drive? Can anyone point me at step by step instructions for connecting iPhone 13 to the car via wireless CarPlay? I have deleted phone from car and "forgotten this device" (the car) on the phone. Then connected with a USB cable, CarPlay works, but when trying to get the handshake between CarPlay and phone without the cable I keep getting he Could Not Connect message. I can connect over Bluetooth and I have purchased an eSim Data package (original had expired) but still not having any success. All ideas welcomed
  3. Has this issue been resolved as I have only just realised I have same experience with the setting not being remembered?
  4. This happened to me this week. Same situation in that went out to car on the driveway in the morning and boot was half open. It was definitely closed the evening before and the key was on a shelf away from pocket or inadvertent pressing of buttons all night. Interesting that my boot was only half open - as if it had started to open and then stopped.
  5. I use these Milenco mirrors on my 2018 estate. I fix them to top of mirror and have no issues with wing mirrors folding etc. I have used same set of Milenco mirrors on last few cars and had no problems with them.
  6. Only noticed water ingress when I looked at light failure and only knew about light failure when message came up on dashboard.
  7. Looking at rear cluster I suspect there may be an issue with the seal which has caused LED to fail. The photo shows the moisture inside the lens.
  8. Dealer is fixing tail light under warranty.
  9. Thanks penguin17 I think a trip to local dealer before work today is order of the day.
  10. The rear tail light on L&K Estate has failed after only 8 months. From what hat I can find online this is an LED bulb/strip in the cluster and can’t be changed by a visit to local Halfords, probably requiring new cluster. I don’t think this is acceptable for the life of an LED bulb. Should I reasonably expect main dealer to replace under warranty?
  11. So car's been with Main Dealer and they have confirmed the fault but don't have a fix. They have also confirmed that the fault is only with iPhones and not Android - this doesn't really help me as I have an iPhone :-) They have contacted Skoda UK and I am now waiting further instruction.
  12. Thanks JR RS and Rich2 - mine is only 6 months old and hasn’t been back to Skoda since initial troubles with failed gearbox. That was 2 weeks after delivery. Qi charger worked fine up until a couple of weeks ago when just suddenly stopped “connecting” to phone. I too had read about the signal booster issue and UK regulations but as mine was working this shouldn’t be the cause of the problem - yet. i say “yet” because it’s booked into Skoda in 2 weeks time when I expect them to say “sorry we have had to disconnect phonebox with Qi and signal boost due to UK frequency regs”. I will then be seeking refund on this optional extra.
  13. Yes it charges fine on the Qi chargers in the house and through the USB connection in the car. Will try the IT Helpdesk remedy of turning it off and back on again :-)
  14. Thanks roo - I haven’t checked the fuse, which seems an obvious thing to do now, but as it recognises that a phone is there and only then gives the “Failed to charge phone message....” I had assumed there must be a current going to the Qi plate. I have an iPhone X which is large but just fits in the tray. It has worked fine for the last 6 months (since getting car new) and I have tried with the protective cover on and off - again this cover is Qi compatible and has worked fine for the last 6 months. Time to contact the dealer methinks.
  15. The Qi phone charger in the phonebox has suddenly stopped working. IPhone charges indoors on Qi charger but car (Superb 220 L&K) keeps returning message that the wireless charging isn’t working. Any ideas?
