Electric boot.
The initial pop when you open it is quite loud indeed. Mine (2022 vRS hatch) is the same. To give you some context, my other car’s boot (2016 GLE Coupe) is almost, if not completely silent. I don’t think it is anything to worry about.

Wireless Carplay not working
I experience severe lag using wireless Carplay and my phone (iphone XS) heats up significantly due to the wireless charging(don’t know if it’s just me), so in my case all the drama was unnecessary because in the end I use Carplay wired. My phone charges faster, doesn’t heat up as much, no lag, etc.

Issue with my Octavia e-tec - won’t surf/eco
My RS goes into “coasting mode” when I fully let off the gas. The split second I even touch the brake it disengages it. Also, I found that if i am in normal mode and it doesn’t engage it automatically, if i just touch the gas for a second (100-200 rpm increase) and immediately let go, it engages it 99% if the time. In eco mode it is almost permanent if you let go off the gas. Hope this helps.

- Wireless Carplay not working
As I have said previously, there is a wifi module in the car, it’s not enabled by default for whatever reason from the factory. Go to your dealer, if they say they cannot figure out the way to turn it on, ask them to use an older scan/diagnostics tool. As stated, my dealer said their tools somewhat recently received an update, but fortunately they had one with the older version laying around. Older one showed the disabled wifi menu right away, newer one found no issues…- Wireless Android Auto
Had this problem with wireless carplay, dealer resolved it after many visits, check the other thread.- Wireless Carplay not working
So dealer called me today, went in and they performed another procedure, and now wireless carplay is working! They said it was the coding. Also, they said something about their diagnostics tool not picking the problem up, so they used their older one with older software which did work. Note my car’s software version wasn’t changed.- Wireless Carplay not working
After my latest visit at the dealer, the so called “procedure” Skoda suggested was a plain factory settings reset…. Naturally nothing was fixed and the result was sent back to the factory for hopefully a clear answer on the issue. My dealer is as much fed up with them as i am (overall about the lack of info they are giving them). He suggested that if the functionality is officially not installed (whatever the cause is), i should file for a compensation. When I get the response will give an update.- Wireless Carplay not working
Got a call from the dealer today and I quote “Skoda haven’t given us a definitive answer whether or not the car was produced with that function. They suggested a ‘procedure’ to perform and see if that fixes things” …will be going there in the afternoon…keep you posted- Wireless Carplay not working
I doubt it’ll help. As stated, my car has been to the dealer, they hooked it up to their diagnostics, and found nothing. No menu, no hidden activation, no trace of wifi at all. Waiting on a official explanation from Skoda…- Delivery times?
I don’t know what you guys are expecting out of this sort of cars (GTI,vRS,i30N,etc). Around here city driving in traffic with a petrol car with 200hp+ ( brand new vRS in my case) , cons. Is 10.5-12.5l/100km. Granted if you don’t sit in traffic that much or do stop and go, and primarily use openish/main roads, then yes that is high. In that case my car averages around 8.5-9.5. Granted its still brand new so i expect it to go down a bit, but overall diesels are for fuel economy. Of course there are exceptions in both cases (e.g 2016 GLE 350d which i have driven for around 4 months daily averaged me around 13.5 city…)- Wireless Carplay not working
When i do that, the car wants to switch on wifi in order to connect, therefore not succeeding due to not being able to turn it on.- Wireless Carplay not working
That is my theory also, however the dealer said that my hardware and that of cars with it working is the same. Also Skoda hasn’t told anything about the issue to the dealers, the function should be available from Style trim and up. We are waiting on an official statement.- Wireless Carplay not working
They didn’t find anything wrong with it, no menu to activate or anything related to the problem. The issued an inquiry to Skoda headquarters regarding the issue, waiting on a response…- Delivery times?
It got changed a couple of times - kept in touch with the dealer every other week ( by the end i think he was pretty fed up with me to be honest but oh wow) so around 1st week of november it was scheduled for 2nd week of december, then it got pushed a week later, at which point the dealer said he expects it to be built sometime late january. Then messaged him 2nd week of january and to everyone’s surprise, it was built the day before.. so then around 3 weeks for delivery (it was in the country after 10 days or so) but due to covid and the car carrier driver being sick it was at the dealer on thursday. Signed the papers on friday, got it registered the same day and off i went. - Wireless Carplay not working
