# just because you're paranoid, don't mean they're not after you # Owned a Kodiaq Edition since 2018 and it seems like a hell of a co-incidence that after the free services ran out I usually get the emergency call error (SOS) call workshop just before the MOT / annual service date. Please tell me I am the only one, would make me feel so much better 😆 Hypothetically speaking, would it be possible to trigger this condition remotely through Skoda Connect?

I see what you did there.

I have experienced the same issue as OP just as of last couple of weeks, I was wondering if it was due to cold weather and having a Moll battery which seems to have issues as highlighted by others on this forum?

I've copy and pasted snippet by someone else from another forum which I found interesting:

......when descending, feather the accelerator very slightly and for a very brief moment, this will kick gearbox back to coasting, as soon as you touch the brake the gear box will kick back into a gear to invoke engine breaking. Brake touched last = engage gear Accelerator last touched = coast

Android Auto and Google Play search problems
WaterMelonMan replied to vizslabob's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
Looks like you may be using the stock music player? I know this music player works fine for searching albums / artists / album artists etc as I use it - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gonemad.gmmp and just this week Poweramp claims it now works on Android Auto - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer but I have not tried yet. Also you could just say 'OK Google, play [artistname] using [whatever player you choose]' which saves taking eyes off the road and playing with the screen (to do this activate the voice control by LONG PRESS on the voice button on left hand of steering wheel) -
I'm now intrigued. Why does this fade matter please?

I've found using the back of my hand on the handle to lock the car works more consistently than a digit or palm as well as being ergonomically more comfortable.

Keyless ignition is a bit too good
WaterMelonMan replied to MrTrilby's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
Is there any chance the second key is somewhere in the car? I know the car won't unlock if the key is inside as I've had that happen (second key left in car and locked with first key, car would not unlock unless first key was used even though could see the second key through window) -
I know these covers work well - https://goo.gl/Sp2tq4 (ebay link)

Reminded why STOP/START is nonsense
WaterMelonMan replied to BoxerBoy's topic in Skoda Kodiaq MKI (2017-2023)
Only been mildly irritated by it on a couple of occasions when the engine cut out before even coming to a stop and/or Autohold being engaged; apart from that I quite like it, but each to their own -

....could try using a vacuum to get it out, low danger of any possible damage. If you don't fancy rummaging around in the hoover bag for the SIM then stretch an old pair of tights (or similar material) over the vacuum tube to stop it going into the bag (but this may reduce suction?)
