Could you elaborate why a higher viscosity oil will result in longevity of the engine?
-
Unfortunately not all pics in the document are visible!

Thank you !!!!

Anyone has the body exterior workshop manual? I am trying to remove the rear bottom bumper without removing the whole bumper. Please help!

Mine is MY18 and has exactly the same behavior. Kangaroo is almost solved but still a slight hickup at times but not repetitive in order to be dangerous and annoying. In addition i do agree that it has become noisier since the update done. I do not know if its the turbo or something else but how can a software change affect the engine noise.
-
Has anyone noticed noisier engine since last update?
-
Wtf that mean?
-
If someone can highlight the differences of the new engine...
-
So does that mean there is a new update since December? And if yes for what MYs ?
-
Those are simply WLTP values as opposed to the preWLTP values in Ukraine
-
The 1st couple of days I had the same feeling also. It didn't last longer though. Better feeling but not as it should be. Kangaroo is still there.
-
So it's not a matter of different behavior but rather a matter of different perception of users then
-
What MY is gr car? We all should always specify since it seems that different behavior is reported between MY18 and MY19
-
Nice review!! I also was thinking that after the update the on-off function of the cylinder-activation is more noticable than before. Dissapointment with VW once again.
-
From your experience up to now, do you beleive everything they say? It all depends on the pressure that customers will put on them. If people report that it is not fixed they will have to look into it more. Especially now that they have found that the alternator function at low revs is the root cause.
-
My guess is that MY18 behave differently than MY19, so we shouldn't generalize on 1.5 sw update
-
If this is a characteristic and they are proud of building a modern engine that acts like one from the eighties and with a carburetor fitted then well done!! Ask them why were you not informed of this "characteristic" prior to your purchase? Ridiculous! Everyone says VAG never again but still they rule the sales' figures.

That’s about right. In addition i think that the behavior after the update is not similar between MY19 and MY18. MY19 report total recovery and absence of the roo, while MY18 report that something is still there. Is that the case? In my MY18 i can say that VW now has succeded in what they were telling us about. While we reported that the "hesitation" was happening at every temperature range, they insisted in describing it only until 75 degrees. Well now after the update the behavior is exactly that. Any of the roo sines (far less and not so intense) are happening until 75 degrees. After that, its a smooth ride allround.

Maybe it goes by the ECU number. Some are latest than others??? Does anyone have an info about a newer firmware for the same engine type? If yes what is the number of that version?
-
That's the latest then
-
From what i see its the one on this table 9752. When was this released?
-
Yes. My problem was not from the start but after an ECU update for an ECU fault back a year ago.
-
Have just had the update on my MY18 1.5 TSI and the new ECU version is 9752. The car seems a lot better with a much smoother throttle response. I think the roo is still “minorly” there (sometimes) when you take off for a moment but its vanished after that. So, i am satisfied for the time being. We shall see how it goes (or "roos").

Is it the same for ΜΥ18 & ΜΥ19?
