  1. Hence why I am not 🙂
  2. When you have a car that hits 70 inch around 6secs and the motorway speed limit is 70 then what? Even at say 75-80mph you would be getting warning signs etc on the dash never mind 100. As I have stated previously I just don't trust that system and I would rather not have a car with it. I also intend on travelling on the continent to other countries like Italy and Germany.
  3. Yea the spec is not the issue, I can have the car exactly as I want it but it won't be here before week 44 earliest, as they told me week 46 is the expected delivery date for any superb with the 280ps engine hatch or estate and week 44 for any superb with the 190ps engine in hatch but the 190ps in the estate is available from week 26-28 same as the kodiaq with the 190ps engine.
  4. Fair enough. My gut feeling is I don't trust it.
  5. Well yes it does tbh as how do I know If I turn it off or overide it that it isn't still recording or keeping a log of how many times it's overidden or turned off as the cars will be fitted with data loggers aswell. I mean I don't know about others but if you can just simply switch it off or overide the systems then why have it in the first place? I just don't trust it and I spoke to a few revo tuners and they have the same thought and they don't know if you will be able to fully remove it. https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1556922/new-eu-speed-limiter-driving-law-changes-fine-penalty-points https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1553725/new-driving-law-eu-speed-limiter-tools-technology-exclusive https://www.evo.co.uk/news/22326/mandatory-speed-limiters-to-be-fitted-to-all-new-uk-cars-after-2022
  6. Yes I got them to check there is nothing but regular cars with 190ps TSI or 200ps TDI and most are sportline plus models and SEL models and the L&K ones are not really in specs that I want. I wouldn't even mind an estate just so as long as it's a l&k 280ps with those options and in black, grey or silver. Honestly I have never been so upset. The one time I am in a position to order or get what I want and then the EU decide that speed limiter a are the way forward and the UK decide to adopt this. Therefore there isn't any point is having a 280ps car may aswell just have a 1.5 150ps and even that would be too much.
  7. I had a look but it is for ordering a brand new car. I don't see anything on there that is readily available.
  8. Thank you so much I'll check them out.
  9. The predictive adaptive cruise control is sort of the £200 travel assist pack.
  10. I have seen a few l&k 280s however most are 18reg or older and with lots of miles, or don't have the rear wiper or have beige interior. My current car is a late mk3 non facelift with the optional virtual cockpit, rear wiper & spare wheel The passenger seat has 3 person memory and regards to the comfort entry/exit thanks for that. I wish they still did the TV option. I love a panoramic roof. roof. The main reason for wanting a change is My daily commute is 18-20 miles to and from work and it's 20 miles if I use the motorway which I only spend a collective 14 minutes per day and my annual mileage is actually under 10k. So I have been told no point having a diesel anyway but I got this car as I wanted a l&k in silver with the above mentioned features and my wife and I did actually intend to do alot of travels across Europe with the car and then COVID happend. Last year there was a black 21reg l&k with the new 280 engine with pan roof, spare wheel & rear wiper but at that time we had other expenses we had to sort out and the car was gone within 3 days of the ad being up anyway. Now I am in a position to get one there is nothing so I was just going to order a new one with these options Travel assist - traffic sign recognition, adaptive lane assist, predictive adaptive cruise control, traffic jam and emergency assist £200 18" Antares alloy wheels with anti theft wheel bolts and super ROWI tyres £0 Rear windscreen wiper £0 Heated windscreen washer nozzles £60 Area view £455 Temporary spare wheel £200 Sunroof £960 Was opting for the 18inch wheels as this superb and our previous SEL 220ps had/have the 19inch trinity alloys and I find they are not very comfortable and the previous had pirelli p7s and the new one Bridgestone potenza s001s. However its not meant to be I guess, I am so gutted as the superb l&k for me is the best all round car for the money.
  11. Found out that it is not true anyway. However there is a wait for week 46 earliest week 44 which means the car will have the new EU speed limiter on it. So I said no thanks, I'll try to find a good used one on the market though so far that has proven very difficult. If not reluctantly I may have to look elsewhere like at the VW arteon which isn't as well equipped as a l&k superb not even full R models which I have been looking at recently. As standard this is what the l&k superb has over even the Arteon R. * No passenger side auto dimming side mirror * No heated windscreen (optional) * Smaller nav screen 8 inch Vs 9.2inch (larger screen optional) * No upgraded stereo (optional) * No memory settings on passenger seat * No heated rear seats (optional) *No umbrellas in the front doors * No parking ticket holder *2 shopping bag hooks Vs 8 in the superb What the Arteon R has as standard over a l&k superb * Nicer leather seats (napper) with massage function and the seat actually moves forwards and backwards when you get in and out the car * More settings on the adaptive dampers * more advanced - predictive adaptive Cruise control * Panoramic roof * Frameless windows * 30 colour ambient lighting Vs 10 So you lose alot more on the arteon than the superb.
  12. Can anyone confirm that Skoda have stopped making the 280ps Superb in l&k trim as I just spoke to my local Skoda dealer and they said they have stopped making them. Even though it's clearly on the Skoda website and I have already configured one.
  13. Where did you get your remap done?
  14. Looool at the French headlights and Oil lights. It is so true, it's the things I hate most about the superb honestly. Just cannot understand why atleast the l&k from 2018 onwards doesn't have LEDs, even the Passat updates to the SE, GT and R line in 2018 gained LEDs and they were not facelifts. Thank you very much, I will have a look at these bulbs.
  15. Thank you so much, I hate the stock headlights they are not very good tbh and I hate the colour of them aswell. I don't understand how come the kodiaq has LED as standard on SEL upwards and the Octavia facelift SEL has LED headlights yet the superb while not having a facelift still got some updates from 2017 such as the newer infotainment screen then late 2018 a reversing camera became standard and digital dash optional on higher trims so why not LED headlights on l&k for example. My 2019 l&k has the optional digital has but one thing I hate is the headlights, I want something brighter and whiter. Btw where do I find the osram night breaker laser bulbs and how much are they?
  16. What is the HP on stage 1?
  17. Forgive me if I have missed it but how easy is it to change the main dipped/high beam bi xenon's for something brighter. I have a 2019 l&k hatchback and I find the stock bi xenon lights too yellowish, when you first turn the car on they are nice white shade then turn yellowiwsh as they get warmer would much prefer a brighter and whiter light.
  18. I can't complain about the seats in the superb at all. They are very comfortable and this is my second superb with leathers, first was a SEL and now I have a L&K. Btw what type of leather are the seats made of? F.e some cars have Nappa leather.
  19. I totally agree with everything you have said. Myself and others have often said VW list prices are too much. It's a joke. I remember about 2 years ago the superb 272 was around 43k not tie nearer 46.
  20. I understand that but for me though, can't go back to a smaller car than what the superb is, plenty of space for me my wife and the kids, the boot is massive aswell and fully electric and I really love the virtual pedal. I don't think there is a better new car for 42-50k than a superb especially the l&k as you do get alot of kit and alot of car and I would happily pay that price of I had that sort of money for the superb as it's something I would hold onto for a very long time hence why one of the options was 5 year warranty. I did consider an arteon but even a fully loaded one is 48k but with a TSI 190ps.
  21. That's odd, I even configured a L & K 280ps back in early January to show one of my friends how the petrol blue looked.
  22. How long ago was that ? This is what I configured this afternoon https://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/en-GB/summary-scenic?activePage=summary&color=8E8E&configurationId=C77PU4KS&extraEquipments=GPE2PE2|GPH9PH9|GPJ8PJ8|GPJBPJB|GPWHPWH|MBWD9T1|MESI7W2|MHEW8M1|MHIM6NW|MKSUKA6|MVRHUK3|UAAAWA2|GPLLPLL&id=GBR%3Bskoda%3B2021%3B3V35WZ%3B0%3BGYOYYOY%3Bmda20210305091403%3Ben-GB%3B%3B63002%3B63152&interior=EX&modifiedPages=colors|wheels|engines|extraequipments&snapshotVersion=8d4e78b0-67cf-433a-89b0-57ec1b9bbf65&trimline=3V5|L%26K6315263002&visitedPages=colors|trimlines|wheels|interiors|engines|extraequipments|services|summary
  23. I do like the exterior of the sportline and the steering wheel but that's about it. I mean ideally you could spec a sportline to nearly match the l&k but for me I can't deal with the alcantara especially with two young kids and a baby. Infact just specced up a L&K 280 and total is just under 46k, the sportline 280 was just over 48k.
  24. They still make it as a L&K. As of right now The L&K has 2.0 TSI 190 & 280, 2.0TDI 200 & 1.4 TSI iV. Sportline has 1.5 TSI 150, 2.0 TSI 190 & 280, 2.0 TDI 150 & 200 & 1.4 TSI iV.
