Thanks for your helpful advice.

So on balance of probability updating with discs likely to solve it ? Sat NaV otherwise working ok and music on Hdd etc. It shows that I have 3 partitions on the HDD screens.

Thanks for trying to help . Wherever I try to access points of interest including what you have suggested the option is greyed out and pressing it makes no difference. I wonder if a corrupted file as found this as pictured further into the setup "secret " display. ( Hdd status ) Would reloading an appropriate firmware disc ( and then map disc as I hear using the furmware disc is likely to wipe the maps ) solve things by overwriting any corrupted Poi files if that is the issue ?

Hi " my points of interest " is greyed out in Navigation setup as i mentioned in my first post. Clicking on it doesnt change it , it still stays greyed out and inactive. Any further suggestions

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. Noticed today on my Columbus Satnav I seem to have lost Points of Interest Option ( POIs ) as an option when selecting a location, the option is just greyed out as is the option under Setup to personalise the " My points of Interest". I haven't had any updates to any software or such tinkering, The Sat nav otherwise seems to work normally ( inputting new addresses by postcode etc or stored addresses ) and music stored on the hard drive plays as before ( I only have a couple of albums stored so plenty of Hard Drive space ) Version inof shows HW version H23, SW Version 6270 , Map Version 8048. A VCDS scan doesn't show any codes , so I am at a loss. I have tried the reboot option - < > i and no difference Any Idea anyone ? Corrupted data on Hard Drive somehow. I got the car ( 2015 L&K ) 2 years ago and never got any Nav CDs with it Suggestions appreciated . Thanks

Do you get a car jack with puncture kit
cng replied to cng's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Well - tyre rotation, taking a wheel off say to have a close look at brake discs perhaps ? Yesterday repaired a leak from bottom of Fabia washer bottle- easy fix , but wheel has to come to off to access things. I suppose space saving wheel PLUS jack available to buy? -
Hi simple question for those of you with UK spec cars. If your car came originally without a space saver spare and you have that puncture foam kit instead, do you still get a car jack ?

Thanks for replies ( not always clear if folk are giving their figures for manual or dsg 170 diesels ) , but it would seem DSG is lower geared in 6th , maybe to stop it hunting between a too high 6th and a 5th gear. I assume people with the manual 170 bhp are happy with the gear spacing through the ratios and 6th gear will cruise nicely on motorways at 60-70 with enough torque without having to change down for standard motorway hills or gentle overtaking at that speed ?

Thank's that's what I wanted. Basically gearing in top similar to my soon to depart 140 Octavia DSG ( 2007 ) .
-
I see you have the 170bhp. Manual or DSG ? What's your gearing mph per 1,000 revs in top ? Happy enough with engine and whatever gerarbox you have ?

I should add I am referring to the 2 wheel drive versions

I have had almost 10 year happy motoring in an Octy Mark 2 140 Dsg , but a third party rear-ending it this week has put pay to that. So looking around for replacement, thinking of late Mark 2 Superb so 2013/2014 era. I would probably try to keep to DSG but not adverse to manual. Thinking of 170 bhp diesel as heavier car than Octy and realise will have less mpg but hopefully similar performance. Questions are owners of DSG 170 bhp ( and manual owners) : 1) What revs would be doing in 6th at 70mph ? dsg vs manual ( i read somewhere DSG revs higher ) 2) DSG oil needs recommended change every 40,000 miles? 3) Cambelt change intervals on 170bhp Diesel ? Thanks
